Wolves (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Don't want to jinx anything but I thought these last two games could have been the banana skins but we've got through them.
Tonight we made mincemeat of a wolves team who looked alright in patches and who beat us last time.

Onwards on upwards. I shall watch the tramps tomorrow knowing they can't do fuckall to stop us or have any say on the run in.

Super city.
3 more banana skins to go! :-)

By the way, do we think this puts the farcical “we’d be better off without Haaland” debate well and truly to bed or there are still zealots of that movement kicking about?
Some games are suited to Erling and some aren’t. It’s good that we can be effective without him in certain situations

Can’t argue the performance after a 5-1 win. Still got the feeling we weren’t at our flowing best. But if we aren’t and still beating opponents comfortably, fine by me.

Skipping what I felt could have been better, I enjoyed some of the play and the big man enjoying himself.

3 to go. And if we beat Fulham we are top and ahead of Arsenal when they kick off the next day at the swamp.

One of the more entertaining home games I've seen this season - mainly because Wolves tried to play and show plenty of skill and endeavour during the first half. They did tire and our superiority came to the fore and we ran out comfortable winners. I thought the best player out there was Gvardiol despite Big Erl's 4sum. Rodri and Kovacic also excellent whilst Akanji and Ake were rock solid too.
Agreed. Gvardiol is getting better and better.

My dad’s mate is one the biggest football fools I’ve ever met. This is all true: he loved Bony and Navas. He never got over us selling lescott. It took him about 3 years before he stopped slagging off Aguero. I know football is full of ignorance but he’s top of the tree.

He doesn’t rate Haaland and would have Alvarez in the team every game. These clowns do exist.

Bony! Ha ha. Brilliant.

6 in it now. If we thump Fulham we could put ourselves in a position where GD can be overcome if required
Correct but to bring GD in to play we have to either draw or lose a game.
They have more goals than us so we have to pull back 7 goals over 2 matches.
Even if arsenal win those games by only one nil we then have to win two games by a 9 goal difference.
Not happening.

Exactly this. Wins are all that matter now. We go chasing goals we leave ourselves vulnerable.

Fuck off Wright, it’s more a penalty than the one your beloved Arsenal had earlier you prick, bewildered my ring
He is a pure wanker after that statement, the worst penalty he has ever witnessed.
I know its a bit tongue in cheek but jenas and Lineker are no better.

For once today I got to the ground very early (3.45 ish) as I couldn’t be arsed walking from Oxford Road so jumped on a tram at St Peter’s Sq. I was amazed at how many people get to the ground early and just how many tourists we have now. Half and half scarves were selling well and one even had half City/half rag scarves on sale for the final!

I did like Bony to be fair as he did make a small contribution although he was a extremely limited footballer. Navas was good and the same goes for Lescott.
