Part of his thinking when deciding to sign for Madrid was that the referees are more biased towards them in Spain than they are to City in England?

The lad has stepped up and more than made the grade at each stage of his career and is only 20

He’s English and was ripping it up at 16 in the championship so why people would think he couldn’t cut it here is baffling

So have you watched his performances in the champs league this season ? If you have then you have missed something - if you haven’t then you have still missed something - keep watching and you will see - as I say he has talent but not as much as folk think - I hope he does get better but for me he does not look anywhere Near yet - he is. Very good as short passes I’ll grant you that so his passing stays come up very well - he is physical but such a weed when tackled - give him time and he may make it back to div 1 and shine there again !

I'm more gutted about the quarter final now that I know we were virtually playing against 10 men.

It was quoted a few times by various sources when we were trying to sign him. Could be bollocks but there’s no smoke without fire so he can fuck off. Unless he comes to us I don’t want him at any other PL club that’s for sure.

However I do agree I’m very bitter, I hate it when we miss out to rival clubs. I’m very bitter about Declan Rice too. If we’d signed him instead of spunking about £60m on Nunes I think we’d have wrapped up the league by now; Arses would be worse and we’d be better.

Joining Madrid/Barca is the dream of many players, English players included. It's nothing out of the ordinary.

Yes. It really isn’t as far fetched as you think. Players are aware of the relative levels of protection they’ll receive at different clubs and different leagues. If the players aren’t, their agents definitely are.

And, anyway, protection from officials was just one aspect of favouritism and deference that Real Madrid receives and which is attractive to players.

Of course, but there are other aspects to decision making, and I referenced I others that I believe played a part.

And acts like a petulant child when things aren’t going his way on the pitch, as they haven’t been as of late.

This increasingly frequent aspect of his “game” seems to be glossed over by quite a few and anyone calling it out is accused of being bitter or blinkered (or both).

He had an incredible start to the season. Right now just seems more like another cog in the wheel, while the real superstars in the CL for them had been Rodrygo and Vini Jr.

I do find EPL fans tend to mythicize non-EPL players, similarly downplaying players currently in the EPL, for some reason. Maybe familiarity breeds doubt, IDK. There'd be a set of PL fans telling you Modric is twice the player KDB is.

Just look at how our media reports on Haaland lately. If Haaland was playing at Madrid/Barca putting up the same numbers, the same media will say he's world class and probably "best player in the world right now".

Last night he looked angry and sulky.
 
I never really got bothered about Ballon D'or winners.
When Messi won it last year I wasn't bothered, but all this talk that Bellingham should win it has pissed me off.
Considering what Rodri or Haaland did last year and didn't win it, I don't get the clamour. There was no clamour for them to win it and it was given to someone for doing a few nutmegs in a retirement league and having a good world cup 12 months before.
(And i've always been a big Messi fan)

Also, why Bellingham? Vini Jnr is regularly their best attacker any time i watch them

Leverkusen are on the brink of an invincible treble. Florian Wirtz is the best player to emerge for decades in a sensational team. He should win the Ballon D’or.
