Let me first say I can’t stand red dippers. One of the most horrible fan bases under the sun with their victim mentality and gobshittery.

Now, though, I’m going to go against the grain by saying Klopp has been a great manager who would possibly have swept the trophy board in anything other than the Pep era. I don’t like him particularly but I certainly respect him for achieving what he has and for “getting” the club and the city.

There, I’ve said it.
Alan Ball would've won the lot if every other manager was Shitter than him!

City centre is full of red tourists. They are everywhere in their half and half scarves. Trying to figure out the local accent, how the currency works, and where the ground is. By Sunday they will be trying to get into one of the bars showing the game as no way most will have a ticket. They will moan about City, moan about Everton, declare Klopp the greatest manager of all time. Then they will cry as their lord makes his exit.

I shall give the city centre a miss for a few days

Klopps doing a mini-ferguson here without much mention of it. He's leaving them on the verge of a drastic decline imo, his recent big money signings have been poor and aren't upto standard, the players he's leant on for years are wrong side of 30 and will need replacing soon and others look spent after years of being flogged. I suspect the real reason he decided to leave is because he knows that team is done and needs a rebuild they won't get.

New manager might have a little bit of a bounce to begin with but I expect they'll drop way off quite quickly and then the narrative about klopp being better than he is because look at them without him starts As it did with Ferguson instead of recognising the impending mess he's leaving them in.

It will be glorious to watch.
Print it out. Put it in an envelope

We’ll open it in ten years

and see you’re right

I don’t blame you.

The fact they are using money to obtain things indicates they are tourists ;-)

No offence.

I appreciate your commitment to1980s Harry Enfield jokes, but I pay for everything myself, be it in Liverpool, Manchester, or anywhere else in the world. Most people do, apart from the few scum bags that every place in the world has. You should see these Red toursits, they buy anything.

Saw a bit of his presser on sky and he was going on about if the ball had been over the line v us and john hadnt done the goaline clearance they would have won more titles , he was rambling away not makig much sense but it was city this city that , weirdo
That Stones clearance, on the face of it, amounted to a three point switch, so we would have been chasing them down in the final straight, rather than the other way round.

Would they have had the mental fortitude to keep winning and winning in those circumstances, as we demonstrably did? All the evidence, including this season, suggests they would not.

It’s not just on the pitch that we’ve been better than them. It’s also been in the head.

I’m sure someone will sell them something that resembles a ticket.

Absolutely. 100%. I've noticed a few teams in the Championship are now adapting the Pep way: playing out from the back, keeping the ball on the ground, etc. A few years ago this was not the case, particularly in the lower leagues. The keeper would just hoof it up the other end and hope something good comes of it.
A lot of these stoneage managers (Pulis/Fat Sam, and one or two others) put out the excuse that they don't have a sugar-daddy owner with billions and billions to splash out on the best players available, but that is just laziness on their behalf. It is too much like hard work on the training ground to install a method of play that is far superior to hoof and run, they even use derogatory terms to describe it, tippy-tappy football, or something similar.
The work ethic for the team begins on the training ground, and if you don't have the motivation, or indeed the knowledge, to adapt to the changing world you should get out and let the next man take over. But it doesn't happen, because we are constantly seeing the likes of Steve Bruce turning up at yet another club with their awful football.

Today, more and more teams are copying Pep's way, and it's a good thing. You won't get crowds queuing up to get through the gates if it's nothing but glorified pub football. This is the 21st Century.
The only Manager before Pep in the PL that played exciting passing football was Kevin Keegan, his Newcastle team that ultimately finished runners up to the Rags were brilliant that season, they just bottled it towards the end.

We saw first hand how that style could be adopted in a lower league when he took over at City and we were promoted as Champions, that was some season with Ali B and Eyal amongst our players, that was one of my favourite seasons of all in my lifetime. KK was a forerunner of Pep, not quite the same but the football was brilliant.

And that's just the press..!!
