It never ends up as predicted. If it did we'd have Bellingham or Rice or both.

Difference is that there’s release clause’s with every player Guimaraes,Olmo, Paqueta and Frimpong.

We don’t have to talk to the clubs. Just pay the clause. I can’t think of another window where every player we want/linked with has a release clause.

He has already said through his father/agent he is going nowhere in 2024.

Don't underestimate the pull of Bayern to a German National, the same stupid argument is said about Barca and Real, those clubs are huge pulls for ANY player.

If he keeps his form, keeps improving and becomes available you can guarantee we will be in for him but the competition will be massive for his signature.

Also factor in the possible Pep departure which could happen next summer.
While I dont doubt any of that at leas some of it is potential rhetoric that any player/agent spouts - the bit about him going nowhere.

We are now a big as pull if not bigger than Bayern....we got sane before he went there (and we are bigger than that now). We got Gundo as well. Sane as made noises about coming back here from Bayern. Haaland came here and I dont doubt Bayern would have been interested (I know he aint a German international)

The possible Pep departure will be a factor for ANY signing we make - people were saying this about Haaland as well. He will undoubtedly leave whether its at the end of next season or whether he does a decade here. The club will have a succession plan and that will also be a selling point to any potential big signing.

Competition wise for his signature - there are only Madrid and PSG that could compete financially with us for it...and it would be career suicide to go to PSG in that league.. Yes he could go to Rags/Scousers or even Arsenal but we can easily compete there and again our prestige at this point is way beyond theirs (as long as we dont fuck it up this afternoon!)

If a real world like a football manager, i will use an FM Editor to boost our player attribute/stats to be godly while makes the rest other player outside of our team shite.

No need to sign player at all.

We can compete with anyone when signing talent but never underestimate the pulling power of the likes of Bayern.

And at the end of the day money comes into all major transfers, if you pay top wages you will be in the hunt.

Pep is a huge, huge pull for any top player, we are still going to be a hugely attractive club for anyone post Pep but he made signing the top players a lot easier.

Realistically, I'd have thought we would struggle to attract top players with the PL charges around our neck. I wonder if they wouldn't be extra cautious to commit themselves to us at this stage.

Haaland is our very own cheat code.

I think Nunes will probably go, Gomez obviously, i could imagine a world where Alvarez also leaves if he's offered a starting role and we get big money in. From the loan kids obviously if Southampton are promoted then they have to pay the £20m for THB, Doyle is already done for £4.3m, Delap will prob be gone for £5-10m, McAtee maybe closer to £20m mark? Couto i can't see staying either, £20 - 30m would seem the going rate but who knows. Phillips we're probably looking closer to £15-20m imo now, just have to write it off. Cancelo will be 30 in a few days, Barca can't afford him and realistically who is going to pay top dollar? PSG are probably looking to rebuild but they have Hakimi and Mendes at fullback already, think he will be a tough sell for good money. Perrone probably goes back out on loan. We should probably be close to £100m in with the players out on loan and close to another £100m at least for the guys that have been close to the first team. £200m in gives us a nice packet to use up, offsetting against what we spent on them i think this could be a good market for us.

Olmo surely is not a legit target.... Surely.....
You can change Olmo for most of the players we have bought in the last 10yrs. Look how that's turned out.

The market looks pretty barren, your taking a punt on most players really. Olmo at least has some pedigree of performances in the last few years.

No chance of Nunes leaving. We can't afford the financial hit and he's shown promise, plenty for Pep to work with in pre season. Gomez can probably find a starting spot but not much point of us selling him for 10m and having to go and find someone else's so will be up to him if he pushes for it.

No one has the money for Alvarez.
