Just read the BBC “Reaction as Manchester City win fourth successive title“, it’s a couple of paragraphs about the team then one paragraph after another about the charges. They just can’t stop themselves and if this is where “the man in the street” gets his information from it’s no wonder we are so unpopular with large sections of the population

Exactly! It's fan TV the only people that will watch is fans of the said team, they do fake meltdowns to get publicity but on the whole it's restricted to fans of the said club, in the case of Arsenal they have just lost out on what looked like a shoe in, of course they are going to be bitter or course they are going to accuse us of this that and the other, that's what fans do, football fans are irrational (including City fans) it goes with the territory, the old sour grapes fable illustrates the frailty of human nature.

Just to repeat fan TV is not the media, if you want to class it as the media you may as well class fan forums as the media

for the most part the man in the street is a moron, thats always been the problem with the bbc, they feel they have to have balance no matter how ridiculous it is, its like they'll do an interview on aviation and on one side they will have a pilot with 30 years experience and thousands of flight hours and on the other side theyll have a nutter who believes in magic carpets for balance.
