PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It would suffer huge damage as would his Nation, why do you think this has taken so long, so many lawyers and has been given huge press?

If we were to be found guilty on the main charges we are *ucked and will be looking for a new owner.
It really wouldn't, I remember when the initial takeover was being processed, it was the Family as opposed to Sheikh Mansour. It was reported the acquisition wouldn't even go before the family "board" as it was minor compared to the normal business investments.

I think only acquisition's over half a billion dollars had to be ratified, Sky made a joke about it at the time and listed the family's worth as £552b.

The Sheik would easily survive as would others, us as a Club would be in the shit, how it goes from there nobody knows, it's all conjecture.

Why do people keep posting this nonsense. It’s the ramblings of a deranged lunatic that is being used to have a pop at City fans and City fans are distributing it. We should be closing this idiot down and letting him talk to himself, not providing him with an audience for his bullshit, lies and anger. @projectriver and @Prestwich_Blue are great people who I’m sure have better things to do than debate with someone suffering with dissociative identity disorder; Magic Hat needs help not an audience.
Normally I would and indeed have argued the same in relation to Harris but creating an alter ego just to create an argument between(?) himself has got me leaning more towards 'fuck him'.

There's a lad in the local park who used to go around shouting, screaming and swearing at the sky or imaginary people. But when he does it in peoples faces, then regardless of who or what he's actually shouting at then you have to step in. There is a line and Harris is very close to it now.

74 likes and 27 replies - most of them from City fans tearing the **** a new one - shows that Magic Twat isn't getting too much engagement now. If it is Harris - and I'm now veering back to thinking it is because he blocked me when I questioned why he and Harris always responded to DMs within 5 minutes of the other one sending it regardless of what time of day or night it was - then he'll be absolutely gutted about that!

Don’t know about rags, but they’re definitely cnuts. They’ve had umpteen snide digs at us since the charges were announced, (very) thinly disguised as humour. On the list with Sharp, Vodafone et al. They can fuck off
They take the piss out of all clubs mate. I wouldn't take it personally.

It definitely is conjecture - as I don’t think there’s a realistic chance of the PL proving its allegations. They’ve painted themselves into a corner.
I ignore the ramblings of the the Twat (whoever he is - I don’t really care tbh) but reading the “latest” batch of emails it’s obvious that the various officers and executives involved are not conspiring to defraud or produce false accounts - in many cases quite the opposite. Arab business culture is not Anglo-Saxon capitalism. It relies heavily on personal relationships and these are privately-owned Companies trading with each other. Irrespective of legal ownership, City are an Abu Dhabi flagship enterprise and Etihad, Etisalat etc would naturally seek association with it. All this bollocks about “no competitive bids” for our first wave of sponsors just shows ignorance as to how Emirati business culture works. It is not straightforward to manage a regulatory interface between Western Capitalist enterprises and Emirati businesses working towards a common objective. Especially when the regulations are drawn up as a protectionist/anti-competitive device. The emails seemingly show efforts to ensure the various books of account are legally and financially correct within the required regulatory framework. The Premier League don’t like it one bit - but can they stop it ? ….I don't think they can, provided the accounts and the contracts are legally correct.

I'm not sure that this is a feature of Emerati business culture specifically. After all, how many of the American clubs put their sponsorship out to any sort of "tender". As you say, the whole notion is bollocks.

It is mate but it is also very important to know your enemies and if this clown is Harris (or not) and is spouting his mouth of, it's best that we know what he is saying
It will have no impact on what the lawyers are doing. Seriously nobody (hardly anybody) in the mainstream has a scooby who Harris is. We give him far too much attention

Haha. True enough! I think that apart from the “pinch” where UEFA shifted the goalposts etc, City managed their initial growth phase very well. The Pinto hacking revealed how it was achieved “behind the scenes” hence the allegations but provided the books are all correct, align with contracts etc - I can’t see what they can do about it if we’ve broken no laws or explicit regulatory requirements.

Harris/Magic Hat is posting in his X/Twitter echo chamber.

Competitive bids are alien to the sponsorship market and to most aspects of the advertising market. They just don’t happen or at least very rarely. The rags currently have no shirt front advertiser, for example, as nobody stepped in when Team Viewer stopped paying.

It’s okay for Ineos to have multiple sponsors for the same club but it’s corrupt when Etihad sponsor Girona
This is how the sponsorship market works. With a new venture you use your business partners, contacts, friends and shareholders. Cold calling etc does not work. Other companies may come on board if the venture is successful.

I have a simple remedy to the twitterati. I do not subscribe so nothing on there bothers me. Try it.
My only social media is Bluemoon.

I remember years ago reading the Sheff Utd programme after an away game & you could sponsor each player & part of their kit. I never thought to ask what the losing bid for Carl Bradshaws socks were….
