PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

For the first time I actually feel a bit worried. Be glad when all this shit is done with one way or another!
It's a no win situation:

If we are found guilty we'll be vilified, called cheats, corrupt etc.

If we are exonerated we'll be vilified, called cheats, corrupt etc.

The damage has already been done by Der Spiegel and the hateful eight who signed the letter sent to the FA, UEFA and the Premier League and exacerbated by the main stream media with their constant unfounded and unsubstantiated comments and innuendos.

If we are cleared of any wrongdoing any actions we take against the FA/PL/UEFA and the media will always be questioned with the "there was no smoke without fire" business. Just let's ensure the likes of Roan, Ronay, Liew, Harris, Lowton, Carragher etc have their media accreditation to Manchester City revoked and are banned from attending the Etihad sine die. That will show that despite whatever others may think of us, we will not be fucked over by the press and let them get away with it scot free ever again.

I have defended Ziegler before. He has led the way with leaks from the UEFA and PL investigations. They have all been legitimate news stories. If people leak stuff it will be reported. But that Foreign Office story is just bollocks. You are correct though. It confirms how low the media has sunk.
Ziegler jumped the shark when he believed that vid last summer and called it the biggest scandal in football. All without checking who funded the vid. or why they went to such lengths to conceal their identity. The vid itself was fundamentally flawed: the story was not new, it was covered a year previously in the Grauniad, the money was not suspect, it came from Etisalat, the mystery man was a well known broker.

The best way getting through this is winning 5 in a row.

If we were not successful, none of this would be an issue. The combination of success, rapid growth, playing style and accusation is absolutely toxic in a nation that despises winners, especially when they are brown.
Once Pep leaves and we win less often, all will be well!

Who remembers what the New York Times got up to when reporting about City, UEFA, and the leaks from the FFP case?

2013.

THE New York Times Company has been confirmed as the second largest shareholder in Liverpool Football Club.

The club’s owners Fenway Sports Group released the information as required by Premier League rules which state that any ownership of more than 10 per cent must be declared.

Interesting post from stefan on twitter saying chelsea may be using a £160m investment in their women's team to pass PSR

And sadly that’s the truth , they are all biding there time , the last ten years will be airbrushed , do you really think that our dominance of the last ten years will get the repeats that United have on Sky , despite it being 20 plus years ago that they dominated football like we have done ? Arsenal have never dominated football since the invention of colour tv , but you’d think they are a giant of English football the way they are talked about ? But our memories are memories, and what this club has done is down in black and white in the history books forever , fuck them all , we know what we are and what we have done.
