PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Nobody cares about City, have no fans, we are irrelevant, how could any commercial deals we get come close to what Liverpool have?

The reality is that Puma wouldn't be paying us a fortune if they weren't selling jerseys. Chatting to a guy in a sports shop in Spain, he said all the kids want Haaland jerseys, more than Messi, Ronaldo, and a Mo Salah Liverpool jersey didn't come remotely close.

The change since we won the champions league and Haaland signed has been huge. The kids are on TikTok, Instagram, and City are huge (massive even) on those sites.

Independent tracker shows that from September 2022 to September 2023, City added 35.2m social media followers, a 29% increase, Liverpool added 11.6m, a 9% increase.

Also we rank 5th in the world with 156m followers across all platforms, Liverpool are about 20m behind on 136m.

On TikTok City had 111m engagements, Liverpool had 68m.

The next generation are City fans, advertisers understand that. The Liverpool fans you hear squealing are all older generation, they simply can't comprehend how a club with one top division title in 35 years is less popular with kids than the guys who won 6 of the last 7. They can't take it.

Sorry for these boring facts, I know FOCs like me don't really care about social media, but that's where the money is. The future is not in some Liverpool fans reminiscing about beating Crusaders, Trabzonspor, and FC Zurich on route to the "Champions League" final in 1977, or in 1978 when they got a bye in the first round and only played 3 ties (monchengladbach, benfica and Dresden), before beating Brugge in the final, or how they won it in '81 beating OPS, Aberdeen and CSKA Sofia to reach the Semi final. Such a myth, take a serious look at how they won those European Cups, minnow opposition, and they try to claim 6 Champions Leagues....deluded. ( I really don't like Liverpool)...
Super post.

Just to add to the social media stuff, i was a guest in the club box last season, at the same time some french actress was in (mind blowingly fit), blossoms lads, kevin cummings and nigerias biggest rap star.
Asked the guy i was with what the crack with the rapper was, “oh hes got x millions followers on socials, we just ask him to post that hes here and he gets what he wants”.

Funny how that rule wasn't applied when Liverpool illegally accessed our scouting database. Or their director and manager constantly made snide remarks about us.

I’m curious if we’ve sent emails regarding this, the equivalent of planting a few land mines.

I thought there was a joke coming when I started reading that.
You’re right though ‘influencers’ influence many

I suspect the presumption was made in the findings by the CAS justices as UEFA made no submission to CAS that the sponsorships were in fact "inflated" and offered no evidence to support such a submission.

Didnt the same UEFA that allow a €100 Million a year PSG sponsorship to lie on its desk unmolested until it was time barred? But thats another UEFA story!
Could it be that their chairman is also the chairman of the European Clubs Association and also chairman of thd beIN media group who held rights to show Champions League matches.

Shush not allowed to speak those words
True, that would be swept under carpet bh the Premier League at the arbitration meeting. It's an investment from an American company not one from the middle east so it is perfectly fine to them.

You are absolutely right, but panja isn’t helping himself coming across as thick as fuck and deliberately not doing a simple bit of research..
And therein lies the problem with "modern day" journalists on social media. They just can't get past the hate of all things city and put out these half arsed, half researched articles that just scream of bitterness and hatred for us.

It really is an embarrassment but these guys have absolutely no shame in what they do.

Look at Garry Cook he’s been in some important positions at places like Nike, City, UFC and currently at Birmingham City. He fell on his sword accidently copyingNedum Onuha’s mum into an email mocking her having cancer. People can be stupid with their communications within a business, if you don’t want it being used against you at some point in the future don’t document or record it in any shape or form. I wonder if there’s anything knocking around mocking the ethnicity of Mansour or Khaldoon from the Premier League or execs of other clubs?
Back in the day I worked for an American firm in Canary Wharf.
An IT guy sent an email to all staff advising that there was a problem and that something was "going down".
I knew the guy quite well and replied that I wasn't interested in his sex life. Childish, I know, but I was bored.
My reply went to every employee in the UK, Ireland, Germany and the US.
Basic mistakes happen.
I felt like James Bond. But rather than "I'm here to see M", I was "here to see HR".

Didn't Adidas or Nike question how New Balance's Liverpool kit deal was incredibly high and there was no way they could match it... and that FSG had links to somebody on NB's board?
FSG also had someone on Roma's board when they bought Salah and Alisson, and the two teams played each other in the CL semi-final.

Mods please shut this thread ..... far too much truth for our red overlords to comprehend

It's almost like they've got it in for us !
