A random memory here. Once overheard David Lloyd talking to some Hampshire players at Southampton or Bournemouth, his broad speech contrasting with their posher voices. After he'd moved away they had quite a laugh mocking his accent, Trevor Jesty among them I think.

He randomly came into a pub we were in and I had a chat with him. He’d been in commentary the day before at Edgbaston and they wouldn’t allow his dog in, for whatever reason, and we had a chat about that and some other stuff.

Mad as a box of frogs, but was an entertaining 15 mins.
