Netherlands should be fresher than England, they've not had a single game go beyond the 90mins, they are also a bit more battle tested against stronger teams. They have lost a game though.

England are just going for the hang in there and hope it works out method. Southgate won't really mess with the team now. I think maybe only Shaw has a shout of coming in. The players look tired.

Holland’s defence has looked like it can be got at all tournament. IF England could finally start clicking upfront, we could give them all sorts of problems. Not that there’s much evidence that’s likely to happen.

Van Dijk is still a very good defender but he’s not looking very mobile these days. I’d like to see Toney given a go up against him. But that’s not going to happen unless Kane is injured.

I'm pretty sure the chap across the aisle was BlueHammer. He literally jumped in the air, with more air grabs than on a boy band music video.

Anyway, I'm fucked if I know what's gonna happen in this game. We play shit and win. My football senses aren't attuned to this method after a decade of Pep.

We could do the same here. Holland look delicate at the rear. But they seem to be able to string some decent passes together in spurts. We don't.

I'm prepared for anything.

the law of averages suggests we must be due one decent performance and I think that might be in the semifinal ....and then we will stink the gaff out in the final
