Will the real Tolmie please stand up ?

I've wondered for years who Tolm is, knowing only his first name began with an S! I tried googling all kinds of local journos and failed my apprenticeship to be a Sherlock Holmes....!!
I shall continue to refer to Scott as Tolm and look forward to his intriguing - and usually correct ITKs.x

Great guy Scott I knew who he was years ago that’s why I get amused when posters suggest he guesses ha.

Me and Scott had a chat a few years back where he told me about himself (and how he lived right near where I grew up). His credentials are one of the reasons why I've vehemently defended his legitimacy for many years as has Ric in the transfer forum without exposing his identity. The bigger reason why though, is that he's not just a well respected person in the Manchester scene but he's also a good man. I'm happy that he has told his story and applaud the bravery in doing so. To say that he knows where all the bodies are buried might be understating it, he's someone who has wide ranging contacts from old City but also new City.

Probably reduces his chances of getting much more inside info now that he has outed himself as actively sharing everything he is told across multiple social media outlets.

My guess is Tolmie has bigger priorities in his life now than the world of working admist vultures and leeches so not that arsed blowing his cover

He said in his tweet that he's decided to move careers into working with children and schools.

It reminds me kof Ahsan/BillyShears. Ahsan moved careers I think when he turned 40 (?). He went from music industry mogul to scriptwriter, something that he had almost no experience in, had only one or two contacts and that he'd never done before. Now he's a success and selling scripts.

As a guy who has considered moving careers numerous times in the last few years, the bottle that it takes to drop decades of experience and the security that provides to chase a passion is brilliant. I applaud anyone who the stones to do it, I wish I had the same, especially if it's doing important work like working with kids with learning difficulties.

Some of the people I've known from on here over the years truly amaze me. Guys like twosips who people forget was a City youth blogger who decided one day to properly go for it in social media, and became the biggest YouTube and gets to tell Neville, Carragher and Keane that they're morons in person. Young Freddie who started City Xtra based on an Otamendi meme and support from other Blues.

Those are only the lads I know off my head. There will be hundreds of others who haven't shared what they've done and quietly post for years about City. It's a special community.
