Bobb, McAtee good, Grealish average, Phillips awful again and I thought Ederson could have done better on the goals. Just a friendly though.

It's looking more and more likely Pep is going to go back to natural wingers that carry the ball and take on the full back, Back to the Sane and Sterling days...

He's always one step ahead of the posse, I know we had Grealish and Bernie as our wide men for a couple of seasons it was more possession based and making the pitch as big as possible, Now we have Doku, Savinho, Bobb ect all wingers that love to dribble and beat the full back.

Other teams seem to manage it....

Usual knife through butter, quick counter attacks, whilst we are slow, side to side, too much non productive passing, too few clear chances.

Like Hamilton and McAtee. Doyle and Rico good. Overall this and V Celtic meh. I'm tired but I want to see some excitement attacking play at some point.

We are on a 4 league title winning run. Other teams can play super kids if they want to. I'll take the gear we've got over any other clubs.

First game stadium was 50% full and we lost both games, which isn't really important in the grand scheme of things but is a negative for the US fans.

We're over it. The smart ones are at least.

For the ones that have been off most of the summer, it can't hurt in being back and prepping for the season while getting comfortable with Bobb and any and others that might get called upon.

Starting team chemistry now can't be a bad thing. Think of how well prepared our starting GK will be after taking the pot-shots now after the collapses, when having a real defensive line once the real season starts. ;-)

That last goal, dedender should be closer but Eddy should be saving that.
Not being too harsh on the young lads though.
Looks like we're going to start the CS with a team of kids and a barely fit squad for the start of the season and we look mile's off it.
Barca next which will be tough and can't see us wanting to show our hand in the Chelsea game and we play them in the league 15 days later.
The PL won't be nearly as forgiving and neither will those red bastards in 14 days from today. Bit concerning but Pep knows the score.

Currently, preseason is the Oscar Bobb show. Looks ready to claim the RW spot.

Doyle didn’t look out of place. Hamilton did so well for the assist. McAtee took his goal well but needs to go up another level. Haaland doing what Haaland does; scored. Quite a few of the other lads played out of position but after Lewis started moving to the middle, looked so much better.

Jack wasn’t at good at the last game but he’s getting minutes in his legs. O’Reilly was just ok.

Again, all of what they’re going through (academy lads) is positive. It’s not everyone that can get a chance to play against opposition like this. Sure they’ll make mistakes and such but it should help motivate them.

That's cos every week he goes to the cash machine and says "fuck me, they've put it in again" and walks off with a trademark cheeky grin.
