I want to see him starting more games next season. I don’t see the point in spending another 50m on someone when we can play him in midfield or right back.
And there lies the problem, he’s not a left backI want to see him starting more games next season. I don’t see the point in spending another 50m on someone when we can play him in midfield or right back.
Not a normal RB but a Pep RB that pushes into the midfield, then yes, he could play RB for us and then he can be making a case for further involment further up the midfield pyramid.Rico is a #8. He just doesnt have it as a RB imo.
He is no full back Rico, I think he needs to go and play football every week this season, he is at the stage where he needs that.I want to see him starting more games next season. I don’t see the point in spending another 50m on someone when we can play him in midfield or right back.
I think Pep said it was only a cramp. The only issue is watching out for the injuries. Does have the quality to stick around
I think we saw that with Ian Brightwell. He never had time to develop in one position, as he was so versatile, and was forever switched between right-back and midfield.Needs to find his position I think (more Pep, not him) - constantly switching positions across the whole pitch can't be helping him develop too much.
Don't think he's good enough to be a full-back, mind, so that leaves midfield.
