Alvarez done deal - £82m to Atletico

Not really interested in the fee, the club will handle that, but the guy owes us nowt.
If he's going for more gametime in preferred position that's understandable.
If there's a decent player available at a realistic cost to replace him then fine but plenty of talent already within the club

Even if he was going for more money and warmer weather, the same would apply. No matter how angry people got when imagining it.

I wonder with Atletico quite below our reported valuation is a deal with Felix on the cards.

In terms of Alvarez going permanently for X fee, with Felix coming on loan with a cheaper option to buy next summer pending on his performances.

Alvarez gets his move, Felix gets a move he wants, Atletico get rid of the player. Guess something like that would boil down to City’s desire to take him but Mendes and co have no doubt offered him to City in some way shape
or form in recent years.
Think Felix will end up at Villa fee around £50mil.

scored and played well in the 9 games, and immediately got shifted again. It 'more as a #9' not just 'more'

He was our best player the first maybe third of the season.

He played really well up front while Haaland was injured. He played really well in Kevin's position while KDB was injured. Then both came back. They were never going to be kept out of the team, and just because they resumed their positions (even when neither was particularly convincing at times) doesn't mean he failed to take his chance, no player in the world displaces them.

He did drop off in the last third of the season, but he also was no longer a regular starter and had little consistency which forwards need. And with the dent in belief that comes with it, it happens.

He was still a key player in in our last 6 trophies, and people are fickle as fuck with their knee-jerk insta-bitterness due to a comoletely misinterpreted cropped tweet of a cpmpletely non controversial comment he made.

Sergio Aguero once said he much preferred to playing in chilly, rainy weather as opposed to baking heat. This weather thing about Manchester is just an excuse and to be honest I get tired of a minority of our players wheeling it out on cue.
Hear fans and press wheel it out more than players tbf

Might be better to play football in but it sure as shit isn't better the rest of the time.

Fuck him off, clearly doesn't want to be here does he. The fee sounds very fair from PSG and he goes somewhere he won't come back to haunt us. Will miss his work rate and eye for goal. Won't miss his trampoline first touch.
Ever heard of the champions league? : )

Lots of noise this am that Arsenal are interested for a fee of around £70m.

Realistically do you think City would sell him to us if our offer is significantly higher than Atleticos? He'd get in the Arsenal team as there's no Haaland to get in front of in the starting XI, plus he's very versatile. But it would for sure strengthen Arsenal in the one major area they are still a bit weak in.
