Middle East Conflict

Biden administration sending more jets and warships to help Israel along with a billion dollars sent just 3 months ago.

I think if the Israelis crush Palestine and keep Iran at arms length the democrats surely beat Trump to presidency.

You mean all those young voters and progressives the Democrat’s need to get on board who are against arming Isreal?

Usually this just means that they're rotating deployed tankers or they could be trailing more fighter jets into Europe. Where they head afterwards (if anywhere) would certainly be interesting.

One crazy thing that I've noticed is the insane level of GPS jamming and spoofing that is happening in Israel. They're even spoofing the position of aircraft in the area to point towards Beirut airport... This is probably to combat the Iranian drone threat.

Go on Flightradar and look at Beirut airport (search: OLBA), sometimes aircraft appear on the ground there which are actually airborne flying hundreds of miles away.
We were in Cyprus in June. In Larnaca, Google maps kept telling us we were in Beirut.

There is a huge amount of Milennial and Gen X left leaning people in full support of Israel. The 9/11 attacks lived long in the memory of the American people and they have always been allied with Israel. The celebrations in the middle East over them attacks hasn't been forgotten.

The Biden administration has been in full support of the Israeli offensive from the get go and supplied aide and a shit tonne of weapons.

Most of these Gen Z are just your usual social justice warrior activists. They talk a lot, but at the end of the day they would rather a genocide than Trump. They're disingenuous, they'll scream Free Palestine but vote in the party funding it. The older generation will potentially win it for the left.

Reporter: “The NYT has released video they acquired showing a McDonald’s store manager in the Bronx beating a customer unconscious with a crowbar last night. Do you have anything to say about that and the reports of other assaults by staff members across their stores?”

Miller: “The reports of the brutal assault are horrific. They ought to be fully investigated by McDonald’s.”

This isn’t the first instance of this highly violent, inhumane rhetoric by the way, there have been several prominent instances of similar statements on Israeli prime time talk shows and televised discussions over the past year, including this one:

anybody still giving a flying one about what eventually will happen to the State of Israel because I don't - they have successfully turned my support 180 degrees with their disgusting actions

Where do mad cunts like that think that way of thinking will end?

Subjugation of the West Bank and Gaza, expulsion of as many Palestinians as they can manage through fear and abuse, creation of a "Greater Israel" and an apartheid regime afterwards to keep the remaining sizeable Palestinian population under control? All with the support of the west?

I know your question was rhetorical, I just thought I would throw it out there.

Think they’ll ultimately lose the support of the west if they go down the route, which will mean Israel is ultimately fucked.

The most fundamental mistake humans can make is assuming that repeating the actions of the past will provide identical reactions on the part of third parties in the future. It’s why Putin fucked up so badly in invading Ukraine. He has brought a costly conflict upon himself and Israel will also reap what it sows if it goes down that route imo.

Let's hope so, a lot depending on the outcome of the US election, I suppose. Let's be honest, Israel doesn't care about the "west", really, only about the US. If Trump wins, all bets are off. If Harris wins, will she be brave enough to pull the plug on Israel if they go "too far"? Jury is out on that one.

I get a sense she will, fwiw, but she’s got to box smart in the meantime.

In terms of what I posted, it comes from a subjective place, but also one that I feel lots of centrists occupy, namely the right of Israel to defend itself is not an unfettered one. I feel an increasing number of Americans, including Jewish ones, share that viewpoint.
