Season Tickets - 2024/25

Ive just had an email from City about the first home game of the season versus Ipswich Town.
The only mention of NFC capability on a mobile phone is with regard to the 10% discount that is available to season card holders at various outlets in the stadium ( drinks,food and souvenirs etc).
So if you don't have NFC on your smart phone,then you will not be able to claim your 10% discount.
But there is NO mention at all that you need to have NFC to be able to enter the stadium, I am 99% sure that you will still be able to enter the stadium via the QR code that will be read by inserting your phone into the slots at each turnstile all around The Etihad .
When I read that email I didn’t understand what NFC meant. I had to Google it to find out.

When I was a truck salesman from 1979 - 2001 , NFC was a national consortium of haulage companies, who had household names in the group such as BRS and Pickford's Removals.
So when the mobile tickets were introduced about 3 seasons ago, I was exactly the same as you Sheila, I didn't have a clue what NFC means in terms of smart phones.

Yes I remember them. Wow that takes me back. My ex worked for Robert Wynn’s the very large load haulage people. You know the ones with police escorts who knocked lamp posts down etc to get through some towns and cities! :-)
 
From the above there appears to be bar codes on Android (which I presume you can use to access the stadium - but you can’t screen grab?) but no more QR codes on Apple IOS.

My season tickets don’t seem to have a barcode anymore in Apple wallet. But you can transfer them easy enough anyway.

But memberships still have barcodes.

Correct as far as Android devices are concerned. Several posters (including me) have confirmed that live a QR code, which changes frequently, shows for the Ipswich game. You can't screenshot it but I'm not convinced you ever could do so even though some have claimed they have previously. You need a few Apple owners to post if they have a QR code for Ipswich.
 
I haven’t been able to download my season ticket since the last game of the last season. Keeps saying forbidden maximum number of passes issued. However it’s been removed from my wallet completely. Well annoying

I had the same problem with the forbidden max passes 10 days or so ago.
Spoke to supporter services and they sorted it easily and immediately. Sent me a text and downloaded to the wallet from there. Reason for me was I waas on both a new mobile number and new iphone.

I have had one transferred to me for my lad and I can see it in the “Tickets” section of My Ticketing Account, but the option to “Add to Mobile” is still greyed out. I rang supporter services a few days ago and they said it will be available to add some time midweek.
