Atmosphere 2024/25

Let’s get right back up for it this season.

Thought we were all a bit relaxed last season after the treble in 2022-23, and the atmosphere was a bit flat as a result through 2023-24.
The Arsenal and Madrid games were miles behind what they were the season before.

Was a good showing at Chelsea last week (after it not being at Wembley against United) so let’s take it up a notch for the first home game. If you’re someone who is in a quiet area of the ground, bang out the songs when they get started by the singing areas and see if a few around you join in… every little helps.

Pissing in the wind mate if you think the Etihad is going to be rocking against Ipswich Town simply because you asked for it to be on a forum where 99% of the people in the stadium don't even read.

If every match-going blue on here made the effort it would make a huge difference.

Every little helps fella. Even if it makes one bloke join in where he wouldn’t usually and he gets three others around him to join in who wouldn’t usually, it’s worth it.

First home games of the season are usually good atmospheres though and there’ll be a buzz with Gündoğan’s return. Their fans will be up for it so no reason why ours won’t try and drown them out.
 
Do you know what would help. If someone wrote down the words to the songs in a separate thread with maybe a video of it being sung. Then foc like me who don’t sit in a singing section might join in with those that do sing. I know the obvious ones of course but every time there is a new one it takes me a bloody season to catch up.

Maybe the club could use the speakers to chant the lyrics so everyone can hear them ?

Or even worse the new song thread when someone who clearly never goes posts an elaborate 7 verse rendition of some obscure 80s song thinking it will fit in well at the Etihad and are genuinely pleased with themselves for coming up with it.

It’s a shame we haven’t got a fan group who do YouTube videos of all the songs.
