How do we feel about Sterling going to the rags if he does go?
hes been on a downward trajectory since he left city and kdb and silva masked his limitations , its not likely he starts back on an upward trajectory at this stage.

I’m aware of the contradiction but I love the fact that he stuck it to the Dippers to move to us. He’d be doing worse in many regards and when he hangs up his boots, all of his medals will be with us. Odd decision to burn his bridges to do that. Whilst I accept he isn’t all that these days, I couldn’t applaud him on a return again. He’s a difficult fella to like.

I am not among the “WE MUST SIGN MORE PLAYERS” crowd, but I do think, given the number of outgoing here at the close of the transfer window which are freeing up a considerable amount of money (wages and transfer fee, both on our books and for the ridiculous FFP/PSR restrictions), we should be bringing in a versatile striker (probably a bit older and willing to not necessarily start every match).

You’re kind of deluded here. We haven’t flexed our financial muscle in a while. It was nip and tuck last year. They have had a better window. You’ve got to be objective.

They desperately need a cemore forward, they don’t have one.

Does getting in the top 4 really mean anything these days other that playing the CL. We hear clubs will be limited in what they can spend without the top 4. Seems to be utter BS because United, Spurs and of course Chelsea still spend a bloody fortune every season without it.
