Pep used to say he didn't have the ability to slow the game down. I reckon Sunday's 2nd half will be one of Pep's favourite games that Phil had played. Didn't lose the ball, slowed the game down when it needed to be and worked his bollocks off going towards his own goal.

Good post. I said as much to my lad. He wanted Foden to take people on and I said, nah he's keeping the ball which is exactly what we needed

Could be that he's had Covid for 5/6 days and is recovering. Could have tested positive last Friday and might have only just started testing negative again yesterday. Would make sense that the club would let him rest this weekend considering we're dead early in the season and that he's now got a week to recover if he misses England duty.

Someone told me that thyeve heard that he’s got the shits proper bad (ie. food poisoning) from an Indian restaurant or somewhere. That’s not a definite though.
