Inter (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

I don't think Arsenal will miss/pass up on all those chances Inter had tonight.
You are a grade A bore. Foden got on tonight, are you still going to speculate about what he has been up to…..? Thank God/Ric for the Ignore feature. Goodnight Rag.

You have got to credit inter, proper defending with that 5-3-2 pyramid, two players shutting our wide players down.
They found space in midfield in the transition, calm in posession, and only seemed to attack on the break, thus making chances.

For our part we seemed a little lacklustre but could still have scored two easily if not for bad finishing.

That kit though........why.

A win against the arse will more than compensate for tonight.

Is this what we get like when we draw against a good organised side? Toys out the pram all over the shop. This team's done four in a row and the treble; have a bit of faith and relax. Pep and the lads are in control. Enjoy these times - you don't want to look back on these days in 20/30 years and see that you were moaning and miserable after one flat game, especially not when that game's come against a top quality side like Inter.

Inter are a very good team, but we wasted the 1st half. Kevin was poor, and the decision to replace Savinho with Bernie didn't pay off.

Thought Foden would have been a better option than Kevin and Bernie should have been replaced much earlier.

Our defenders were mostly good, Rodri and Grealish were quality.

Pep tends to rely more on experience in such games (Kevin, Bernie and Gundo) rather than energy and pace (Foden, Savinho, Doku). It's not always the right choice, though.

Good game against a dangerous, well coached outfit. No need for over-exertion so early in this event with easier games to come. We could have won, or easily lost. We move on.

just caught last ten minutes...That team kit made the players look like they were in training bibs, absolute bobbins! not a bad game, almost won, good to see Foden back

Can’t grumble too much about a point there, but that kit!?My first thought was ‘piss stained’ and I just can’t unsee that now…I really hope they don’t wear that again,at home!!?

On the whole i'm happy with the point.

We both had good chances, but Gundo should've won it at the end there, two great chances!

Some of ours looked tired but it was good to see Rodri and Foden back.

They're a top team and neither wanted to lose and it was a fair result. It's a bit of a shame this game wasn't later on in the season though.

I think that performance sums up the new format. It's too easy to not get knocked out, so too many of the games, especially between the top teams, aren't ultimately going to mean anything, and they're going to play not to lose first and foremost. You can drop 7 points and you're still guaranteed top 8. Drop 8 points and there's a 98% chance you still qualify automatically. We probably could have gone for it a bit more, but what would be the point when we've got 7 more games and we're playing Arsenal on Sunday?

Inter were very good, we were below par. Not the end of the world. We’ll need to be better than that on Sunday though.

No problem with a draw.

But our corners need sorting out because they are fucking shite.
I don't even get excited at a corner anymore.

I would love to see our conversion PERCENTAGE over the last 3 seasons.

We must be up there at getting the most corners over the course of a season.

I'd rather us play it short and recycle it round the edge of the box.

Frustrating tonight but we didn't lose
Wouldn't want to watch Inter every week
Bloody hell they are zzzzzz
