Yeah from recollection Akanji was better as the DM of the DM pair of you know what I mean than Stones.

Who wants to be - and at the same time is good enough to be - understudy to the world’s greatest Central Defensive Midfielder? Who’s good enough to play for City in top-level games when required, but self-effacing enough to make do with Bristol Rovers away in the Carabao and some sub appearances when we’re 5-0 up at Dinamo Vladivostok? Ain’t no-one out there. If they’re good enough, they wouldn’t want the gig; if they’re happy with what’s on offer, game-time wise, they’re either lacking in ambition, or past it, or unproven.

Ditto Haaland at Centre Forward. We’ve got the best.

Pep won’t give two shites mate tbh , proper teams would have at least tried to attack even with ten men , it’s clear that we live in your fucking heads every day of the week , shutting up shop without one wide player on the pitch says more about captain black than anything else , he shat his pants leading a game winning 2-1 and only 5 games into the season. I’m surprised people actually believe this. Stones is not a metronome. He can step into midfield from defence to join up with Rodri, but he is not capable of being the designated pivot and hub of the entire team, controlling tempo, building attacks, resisting pressure. Stones honestly can’t do it as the Rodri replacement. He can compliment him but not replace him.
