Just wondering if anybody has seen anything about the penalty shout on Saturday? I re-watched it and still can't believe it wasn't overturned? I haven't seen much coverage or any pundits saying it should have been overturned either? Genuinely curious if anybody else has seen anything?
Be on a loop if it was against the cartel clubs but then again they would be kicking off to the media about it where we just accept it. Also if we got that, again be on a slow motion loop showing the dive/minimal contact with HYS opened up for the usual bile( though the BBC would have to squeeze it in amongst the 6 articles they currently have on the Rags loss to Spurs

Even further back (I'm nearly over it) was either Stoke or WBA away I think. SWP got one in the knackers whilst on the deck and kicked out. No on field action taken. Sky had him suspended by Monday evening
It was at Stoke. MoTD and the media went on and on about it until he was charged and then banned.

Gordon had lost control of the ball, was running away from goal & the ball was running out of play.

Eddie didn't pull him down, Gordon tripped over his body.

Entirely predictable but soft.

Murdoch wanted to buy them iirc?
He bought 10% of us at one point didn't he ?

As for the penalty on Saturday, once the ref had given it, it was never going to be overturned, and from his angle it probably looked nailed on. At the slowest speed replay, you can just about make out there is "contact", but gordon was always going to go down in that situation, even if "contact" wasn't enough.

It was soft but lets not be Arsenal fans about it, there was contact because he made sure to look for it before he went to ground. It would have been funny if Eddie had feinted and pulled out at the last second. I doubt Gordon would have been able to stay on his feet, he was that committed to buying the pen. How silly would he felt then, whilst picking up a yellow card?

I'd love a keeper to have the bottle to dummy a dive. 9 times out of 10 the player has no intention of dribbling round the keeper, usually the ball's off the pitch or in the stand before there's any contact.

It's one of the few (only?) benefit of Var. It stops Sky re refereeing a game. The number of times Sky and the media did us over was ludicrous. And yes I remember the SWP one.

I lived in a mining community at the time ( none of my family were miners), but I had friends whose family were and I saw first hand the devastation the strike wreaked. I also knew someone whose OH was Dibble, he was a thug in uniform. The met were to blame for Orgreave, the first thing Thatcher did after being elected 3/5/79 was give them a bloody massive pay rise. It was always her plan to close the mines- she hated unions.

The loss of that solid industry still has huge repercussions today 40 years on.
And today the last mine in England closed .

So Sly Sports got Potter in on MNF to do a hatchet job on our ETH, and Potter didn’t disappoint, and didn’t let Sly Sports down. Neither did the Daily United and it’s made up headline and article.

Sir Jim. Really!

Not the UK tax dodging billionaire living in Monaco.

Potter eh? Is he really a great manager or was he punching above his weight at Brighton and got found out at Chelsea?
They've done alright since he left for the size of the club, in fact I'd say they play better football now.
