Club World Cup - Summer 2025

It's ok as we will have a fully fit Rodri taking the piss by himself.

:)
I thought about this last night
9 months out would be a week into the CWC - could he possibly be in the squad? Not expecting he’d have a massive role but would be great to see him regardless

AI gives some interesting insites if you Google "fifa world cup 2034 bidders" - most of which have probably been covered.

It kinda suggests they only wanted 1 bidder - which is what they got!! (I know quell surprise)

I wouldn't have bothered with the Saudi version on personal views - but I'll be about 70 by then anyway, so not exactly an issue lol
Not sure what your personal views are but went there last December for the Club World Cup and it was great. Very friendly people.

Would have liked a drink but wasn't the end of the world.

Seriously debating on going depending on where we play, obviously won’t give a crap about uk fans so they’ll piss about playing the teams all over the shop, I’d like to go somewhere I’ve not been before.

Reports suggesting FIFA have chosen Inter Miami as the US representative as host nation. They have won the "supporters shield" but surely whoever wins the MLS cup should be the representative (which may well end up being Inter Miami).

No doubt just a coincidence that Messi would be a big draw for broadcast rights, sponsorships, and ticket sales.

100%

I’d love to play them, considering how many players from Pep’s Barca are there. It would be special Messi playing city in the last few of his competitive games

And the fact that Miami is a host city.

Obviously Inter Miami have reaped the rewards from all the hard work and great foundations left behind from Phil Neville's tenure as manager there. It was all laid on a plate for the manager who replaced him.

Looks like this may some unintended consequences. Will see how this plays out beyond extending free agent contracts. Like giving Salah a two-week Madrid contract before he signs for whomever he wants or renews with Liverpool. Obviously, this may not happen but can't wait to see who will take advantage of this.
Feels like this may become ridiculous so that FIFA can have an ALL-STAR tournament.
