Fulham (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

We won that's the main thing, but we were caught so many times on the counter and never really looked in control of the game. Fulham were able to run through our midfield at will today, from a defensive perspective I don't think Gundogan and Kovacic works.

Thankfully we took our chances, great 3 points, but plenty for Pep to think about
 
Positive is we won! Negative we were poor…positive is we won when we were poor! Not much else to say today
 
There was a lot of sloppy passes that gave Fulham the chance to get something! I know pep wants players to be brave but those forward passes from Kovacic Akanji are to dangerous now we have no Rodri those players should be passing wide or back! Have to say Fulham are such a good side managed so well..

Like the Brentford game, very very lucky to have all 3 points due to them both missing great chances to go 2 up.
Pep worked a miracle last season to make 4 in a row history but i am afraid this team and squad looks like it will fall short this season.

A shockingly bad defence these days, god knows why, as its the same players that have done well previously, we just cannot keep a clean sheet in the PL.
A huge issue for this is our awful midfield. Zero pace, no energy and teams just run through us at will.

A case of largely 2 hugely disappointing summer windows, not addressing our shallow squad depth, poor buys and not addressing key areas that needs addressing whilst actually making our squad weaker by selling and not replacing only our 2nd striker in the squad.

3rd is the best i feel we can finish this season, both Dippers and Arsenal look far better teams, Dippers have more goals throughout the team and the way they are being officiated whilst both them and Arsenal create so much, and score lots from set pieces.

Our set piece coach is so bad he has become satirical, todays were more embarrassing than ever and presented more chances for the opposition, how Pep cannot see this and give him the sack us baffling.

And a team of our size these days, it’s extremely poor squad planning when we have a few players injured and cannot name a bench with the allotted places and that even included 2 keepers.
 
We desperately need some legs in midfield. Pep clearly doesn't rate Nunes, but I feel like we have to give him a real run of games in midfield. Kova/Gundo are getting bypassed like they're not there. The warning signs have been there all season. Maybe some lack of motivation, poor transfer windows, and injuries have caught up with us, albeit it's still early in the season. There's definitely some reason for concern.

I hate to say it, but we can count our blessings today.
Only awful finishing from Fulham let us off the hook.
Hopefully, we can get KDB back after the break and take it from
there.
 
thought we were shite tbh! Very happy with the win, but pep feels a long way from having his post Rodri team sorted. Flailing atm.
 
3 points but with questions.

We looked fucked and lack of energy and pace and also our defence was all over the place, Yes played in midweek away in Europe and Fulham had a free midweek, But we should be pressing and working hard getting the ball back.

At times today, Fulham was passing the ball around and pressing us for fun and the truth is better finishing by them they would be going home with the 3 points, Ederson made 3 world-class saves and won us the points
 
Pretty poor game by us but with 3 points so that's good enough. Credit to Fulham, i thought they passed it about v well at times, can see them do well this year. KDBs return badly needed.
