North Stand Construction Discussion

I keep reading that no new season tickets have been issued since Covid, but that’s not true as my friend became a season ticket holder just over two seasons ago..
Think they released a small batch of gold season cards to compensate for the season card holders that deferred for one season after COVID

Correct me if I'm wrong

That's what I put in my post!

Clearly Flexi-Gold is far better than paying match day prices for people who want to go to most / all games. Not as good as a full SC but absolutely not to be derided as a few on here seem to do.
This should be in the other NS thread but as it's all about the £150 up front on there I'll ask you. How much do you pay per game and is it banded depending on the opponent?

I've got a full SC so I don't know the specifics about each game. I do know that the posters on here that got one of the 600 released for this season were delighted to get them.

Going down to the Etihad today.

I’ll take some pictures.

Hopefully the rain will hold off?

If you get the chance, have another look at the mock-up now that the brick at the front is in place. Think that's probably likely it complete now, pending any reviews by client/planners.

there were 600 full season tickets released this season? I didn't know that. Well done City.

Few questions...

Are we likely to see any more of the existing North Stand roof in season? Can see they have already began putting in cement terrace just above it which will (I think) have to come all the way down and connect to the existing second tier?

If that is the case, will the new roof be built in season gradually to cover the elements?

Think it’s quite clear we won’t ever (unless the unthinkable happens) return to issuing Full Season cards without restrictions, the club wants to control the resale market & profits made from that avenue, as seen with large blocks of tickets appearing on certain sites for big games, no ticket transfer on flexi’s makes them less appealing to touts/bots for when they go on sale, which hopefully means they do go to genuine blues

There is now a separate thread for discussions about flexi’s and other ticketing matters relating to the North Stand expansion, that leaves this thread to concentrate on construction issues

Interesting. Very interesting.

The brick is there, but the sails have been taken off.. hmm

When was that taken btw? Can't see it in CP's latest video but Skies guy from last week, the sails were still there.
About 2pm on Saturday just before the Fulham game.

Couldn’t get any further to the right as there was boarding after the gates.

A bit hit and miss with the pictures.

With security on the gates around the construction site I couldn't access those vantage points properly (camera lens through the gates), even though I did time it right when 1 gate was open.

On the plus side the construction site was very busy, meaning I could take pictures of the construction workers working.(and a fine job they are doing)

As well as taking pictures around the construction site, I took pictures from the pedestrian bridge.

As I've used both my camera and my mobile phone, which has a better zoom than my camera, believe it it not, I'll have to sort through the pictures, Photoshop them, and post them later on. :-)

They'll have most of the terracing in before starting the new roof. It looks like they're going to cut away the back sections of the roof (the steel, not the panels), so that they have room to join the tier together and complete the terracing.

The new roof will start being constructed once the towers are complete, the sky bar 'box' has been put in place, and the terracing has been completed.
