I’m assuming there’s nothing stopping owners converting debt to equity ?From the Times article about the ruling:

As I said months ago, and immediately after the ruling was released, it is a real head scratcher why many clubs—especially Arsenal—where so intent on undermining our challenge both privately and publicly…
That's exactly why I'm looking forwards to it. ;-)I would actually welcome that as it would make it fairly easy to build a case for officiating corruption and collusion.

Yes. The investment amount has just doubled :)I don’t see this as the massive win it’s portrayed as unless we can book those 2 sponsorships that were rejected as not FMV, isn’t that the whole point? Can anyone explain what will happen with these now?
The look on Khaldoun's face on the MEN headlines email says it all:

Man City damages, PSR chaos, Arsenal issue - what next for Premier League
Manchester City's victory in key aspects of their legal battle with the Premier League could have far-reaching consequenceswww.manchestereveningnews.co.uk
As long as it's Masters who has to present it.Do we win a trophy for this? If so I’ll need to book a day off.
Disgusting from the BBC, nothing else to add, cunts…..and I never use that word…….more than 6 times a day.BBC Sport in Salford certainly are, as was demonstrated clearly by their ludicrous article this afternoon
I am afraid you’ve lost me, mate. :-)Remember nose digging sleeping bag economics scientist?
You absolutely would think so wouldn’t you. That’s exactly what this suggests is happening though. Arsenal to the extent of 200+ million have had interest free owner investment. No idea what impact that’s had on their PSR, but it stinks and just shows how manipulative the rules they have cooked up are.
it wasn't at all it hadn't been mentioned at allThink it was pretty obvious they’d denied us potential sponsorships tbf mate.
He did say, supposed to. He knows it’s a crock, would be my bet.

Aside from the newfound scrutiny and the expense of doing so.I’m assuming there’s nothing stopping owners converting debt to equity ?
It depends on what the new rules are. For sure you don't apply penalties to rules that weren't in place at the time. But it now means APT transactions aren't arbitrarily capped by the PL. I'd say that's particularly good news for Newcastle as well.
