City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

Continuing my Telegraph theme today the third article today is a doom laden piece by Oliver Brown that Abu Dhabi is about to unleash a torrent of spending to essentially blow away any traditional rivals for good. Ourselves and Newcastle are about to become a Gulf duopoly.

It manages to be far worse than the pile of shite Sam Wallace produced earlier.

Morning . Could someone with relevant legal knowledge ie PB , Stefan etc throw clarity on the fact that now Newcastle United could now start legal proceedings against the PL as the unlawful rules were also in place to stop them progressing ?
Thanks

That has not been shown or found and was one of the PL win, that it would effect all owners equally.

The timing is suss, but it is what it is

If Newcastle can show that Pl stopped certain sponsorships due to poor procedures, deadlines they could sue for damages.

Probably unlikely

The money we are spending and all these legal cases, who pays it. If it comes from the club is it written off in PSR calculations?
Mansour will be paying it. It is not included in the expenditure to meet PSR in the same way the construction of the new stand and hotel isn't, revenue streams from them are though ;)

Didn’t realise @bridgeno1 was so small.

I hope and doubt we will. Mansour has always maintained that he intends to make the club a successful but profitable well run one. I remember when he first took over some clown associated with him claimed this, he was quickly side-lined.
Unlike the PL and the "elite" we're not looking for a one sided playing field that suits only us we are seeking a level one that suits all.

We really are not fucking about.

Cunts are getting glassed all over the pub.
Wow, the fact that he's citing our legal bod by name and not the usual 'source close to the club' suggests this is accurate and we are not fucking about.
Also, the PL 'emergency meeting' looks like a rushed attempt to re-jig the rules to make them legal which city at least is not prepared to accept.
