That’s not the way they operate though. The pessimist in me is telling me if city do know his decision, they would be shouting it from the rooftops if he was extending his stay

Yep thought someone would come back with that. Well done.Hints? He said it plain as anything.

He sees press conferences as necessary evils. Most of the time he’s fine in them. He just chats shite if a shite question is asked. So media in other country are bigger arseholes, doesn’t mean he isn’t tired of our media muppets.
Hope you’re rightThat’s not the way they operate though.
Or put him in charge of CFG as Director of Football for an agreed period to give him a break from day to day pressure. That’s what Klopp is doing. Is it pie in the sky to think we could give him a year off to recharge his batteries and appoint an interim manager
That sounds like he’s going. He’s given everything he has to City, but I think he needs a break, especially from our venal media.
That’s not his bag though, he’d be physically incapable of keeping himself away from training, tactics meetings etcOr put him in charge of CFG as Director of Football for an agreed period to give him a break from day to day pressure. That’s what Klopp is doing.

Think the claim was they were more intrusive. Not that they are the bigger arseholes. So media in other country are bigger arseholes, doesn’t mean he isn’t tired of our media muppets.
Personally think he’ll give us a final 2 years with VK stepping in (assuming Bayern success).
I get that but that then means another transition after a couple of years, risk of doing a United.Whoever follows Pep will be on a hiding to nothing.
I’d much rather us appoint a Pellegrini type figure for a couple of years as a transition / buffer / sacrificial lamb before the next big manager comes in.
We'll all be gutted if that happens & it wouldn't surprise me if true.Personally I believe he’s off at the end of the season unfortunately.
I'm pretty certain Pep's replacement will be Amorim whenever it happens.I get that but that then means another transition after a couple of years, risk of doing a United.
Next manager needs to be more than a ‘caretaker’ and if Vinny performs at BM esp in Europe he would have my vote.
The man epitomises this City and I think will have the mental strength to deal with following Pep.
Can’t say know who he is or how talented, read on here linked to new DOF. I’m sure club will do what’s bestI'm pretty certain Pep's replacement will be Amorim whenever it happens.
