City wanted to sign him. Harry wanted to join City. United blew us out of water financially on both the fee and wages.Ha ha Harry maguire under pep

I prefer to call it informed speculation. But of course Pep could change his mind at any time. The Pep stays on one more year was a solid rumour about six months ago and I have not heard any better theories since then. If I had my wish it would be for Pep to stay ten more years. All guess work innit. We dont know we just type what we would like to happen
I'm thinking the same.take him to the decade and Amorim's contract up at Sporting the same summer..
I’m starting to feel like this might have legs.
Niggles.Just little fibs.
I think people should read the whole article. How could they afford him.
They were paying Wastecoat 4m while Pep is on at least 20m
Hit the nail on the head with the last paragraphNo way Pep takes the England job for less than £10m a season - probably a lot more.
Can’t see how the FA can justify that when they are responsible for grass roots of the game and other international managers get paid poorly.
This whole situation is a bit of a piss take anyway. Love Pep but all this drama to feed his ego is a pathetic. Either sign a contract or let’s move on. Why all the drama which will now full every press conference for the rest of the season.
Either that or 115, the press questions are very basic.Hit the nail on the head with the last paragraph
16m?I think people should read the whole article.
Says Guardiola would take a pay cut
It’s all because Pep went on an Italian chat show at the weekend and gave lots of cryptic answers. He could very easily put this to bed by just laughing it off makes no sense given the assumption once he’s done at City he’s done with living here. Just respond at his next news conference with hopefully a resounding not a chance of taking this job
Agree completely and another factor is the club WC in terms of Pep staying.I actually think the bigger refresh may have been left to next Summer because we may have known Pep, and to some extent Txiki, were leaving after this season. No disrespect to Pep, but if the club knew of his intention to leave at year's end I can understand holding off on some of the bigger signings. The rebuild may have grown to a larger scale because of Pep's decision to leave. So, IMO, it's not at all a matter of would he want to take it on. If he were staying it would have started this past Summer...
10 years from the best manager of his generation would be an incredibly testimony of us as a club but in saying that so would 9!!It was on here from Tolmie about six months ago. And I am sure it is correct. Pep will win the Club World Cup wth City and then do one more season. I am sure he wants to stay for the 115 victory party and the World Cup street parade and give us enough time to bed in a replacement. Ten years at City will be a hell of an achievement.
Behave. If they’ve approached him isn’t this tapping up?
He didn't inherit great players, but he spend 500 million and still have a negative goal difference.Ten Hag did not inherit a squad remotely as good as ours...apples to oranges...
I believe Pep over Tolmie on this one, sorry.Tolmie is saying that Pep has told the club what his future is, if he is staying why delay the announcement of a new deal and stop the needless speculation?
