The Telgraph carries a report of the CWFC game against Haringey and there's mention of a 'ghost' goal awarded to CWFC. Somebody lobs the ball, the goalie gets to it eventually but the ref looks at the lino, some way back from being level with the goal line, and between them they award CWFC a goal. The goalie complains that it didn't cross the line but gets booked for complaining. Do refs in the women's game have one of those gadgets on their wrist that beeps when the ball goes over the line or are they relying on the 'rack o' thee'? Interesting part in this 'controversy' is that the ref is Emily Heapswill, the same apology for a ref that fucked us over good 'n proper last season v CWFC. Thought she'd been pensioned off.
