Last few seasons Taylor has only worked with a core 11/12/13 in training. Subs and fringe players were left to work with other coaching staff (and Houghton led some training). It was very much a case of if your not in his 11, you felt like you were cast aside and you were only going to get in/get back in if an injury or suspension happened.

He's also an "I speak you listen" manager and there wasn't ever any opportunity to offer your opinion or speak about your concerns etc.... not always a bad thing but also not very good for player management at times, especially when players go away with international teams and are offered different advice and told they need to play more which causes conflict when back with you club side.

I'll add that this was the case in previous seasons and I no longer have the sources at the club to clarify if this is still the case, there have also been a number of backroom changes so this could now be different. I suppose I'll have to give Taylor the benefit of doubt after masterminding one of the best performances and results in the clubs history against Barcelona.
Sounds like a proper twat

Here's another 'balanced' BBC commentary.....his pitiful whine at the end sums up their sports coverage

"Not at all what Liverpool deserved"

Yes I saw that. He was almost hysterical about the scouse girl goal, yet Bunny's last minute screamer was met with 'oh it's a goal' he was gutted!!

Some of the cunts employed by the bbc are surely going to get seriously fucked over before too long. The nonce protectors are bound to fuck things up permanently .

And redundancy is too good for them.

I hope I get to witness it.

Agree. I've given up listening to any commentary when City are playing . Sound off and watch highlights on City+. Keeps my blood pressure down ..but to say "Liverpool didn't deserve that" was very revealing .

Great news in the fact that I can't stand him...

Be interesting to see who they go for now though, if they get it right they could potentially kick on.

Keating dropped from the latest England squad.

Greenwood, Park, Hemp & Kelly all included.

Think that might be the fewest number of players we've provided for an England squad for quite a while. Though add in the proviso of those that have moved on from us and it still makes a fair chunk of the squad.

Fuck the BBC
Ive listened to the last few episodes of this "Crossways" and they discussed decent topics and Wright didnt behave or comment like a spoilt child which made it a decent watch and Steph makes it worthwhile.

Maybe, but she looks nervous of the **** in that picture.

Just watched the City section and I think it's fair to say that Steph doesn't seem happy with Gareth Taylor

It doesn't look a nice day out there today, wet and windy. If you are heading in from Bury and taking the tram they aren't running. It is a bus replacement to Crumpsall, make sure you consider this with your timing.

Obviously I'm not aware of what the stumbling blocks are on the contract negotiations between the player and club but it's usually one of 2 things: Money or playing time. We pretty much don't guarentee the latter and we're currently stacked in the RW position. Maybe Chloe sees herself on a par with other key players like Lauren and Bunny and wants parity with them. Unfortunately her performances towards the back-end of last season especially just don't match those expectations. So if the negotiations have reached an impasse then Taylor is right to give the game time to Mary & Aoba ahead of Chloe. I think Fowler has a higher potential ceiling than Kelly anyway and while not playing in her preferred central role still showed what she brings to the team in the Barcelona game.

If you look back to how creative Kelly was when she first arrived from Everton - she’s a shadow of that player just now. Her performances over the last 12 months haven’t been up to her previous standards. I may be doing her a disservice but, Kelly looks distracted by her off field stuff at times - no one can blame her for cashing in but, she’s looked average on the pitch for a while. Think she needs a move and good luck to her.

The Telgraph carries a report of the CWFC game against Haringey and there's mention of a 'ghost' goal awarded to CWFC. Somebody lobs the ball, the goalie gets to it eventually but the ref looks at the lino, some way back from being level with the goal line, and between them they award CWFC a goal. The goalie complains that it didn't cross the line but gets booked for complaining. Do refs in the women's game have one of those gadgets on their wrist that beeps when the ball goes over the line or are they relying on the 'rack o' thee'? Interesting part in this 'controversy' is that the ref is Emily Heapswill, the same apology for a ref that fucked us over good 'n proper last season v CWFC. Thought she'd been pensioned off.

Wasn't the disputed goal the Spudette's equaliser? & no, no goal-line tech in the women's game. Presumably due to costs of installing it across all the grounds that are in use.

Goal line technology and VAR isnt available at all stadiums in WSL so is not mandatory . Btw I think the goal was awarded to Tottenham ?
