The fact city have felt the need to comment on this suggests to me that we where indeed interested and are trying to control the narrative a bit.
Do girona play in a similar way to city?

Hope we don't!What I’m taking from this is that no one has a single clue about Pep’s future, his length of contract or potential successors.
Just be patient, we’ll find out soon.
The need to comment might have been driven by the fact Viana has just been announced, so it would make this kind of link/speculation to RA really obvious. If it wasn’t for that, I’m not sure we would have issued anything via journalists. The fact city have felt the need to comment on this suggests to me that we where indeed interested and are trying to control the narrative a bit.

He has said before he runs out of energy due to mental exhaustion. He has also said he finds it increasingly difficult to motivate the same group of players season on season. To back this up he has taken breaks in his career between clubs.
Obviously I hope he stays for the next 20 years but the above are some of the facts that must be taken into consideration when debating his next move.
Think thats our second best outcome. Best outcome is obviously the GOAT staying. But maybe everyone pep included is happy with thisSo if Alonso says yes for this summer Pep leaves?
I like him but he's a bit too wired. When Pep goes the right man is Luis Enrique
So they are saying if you took over from Pep City would become a fading force? I guess they are experts at being a faded force![]()
Ruben Amorim 'agrees' Man Utd move as Sporting boss 'convinced' Man City a 'fading force'

I picked up on this as well, but was much too busy afterwards, chucking 1 off when I should of been posting on here insteadDid Pep let it slip ? In his pre match presser, while praising Rodri he was saying he hoped Rodri would make a swift recovery and be back with us NEXT SEASON.

Looks like the unforeseen has indeed happened! The new club World Cup doesn’t finish until mid July. He’s not going to walk before that in May leaving us in a hole before the tournament or after it, in a hole with the season about to start a month later. I expect him to sign a one year extension talking us to May 2026 and a full decade in charge of the boys in blue. Thank you and good night. Amorim to take over that summer and link back up with Viana, unless something unforeseen happens in the interim (can happen, this is football). Logical thought-out succession planning.
If you take over from Pep, you'll make City mediocre. Why don't you come and work for us. We're already mediocreSo they are saying if you took over from Pep City would become a fading force? I guess they are experts at being a faded force
I doubt he'd be interested in the rags if City had shown any interest, especially as his mate will be in place
The good old fan fiction site that is football365.com. Still not convinced Amorin was the candidate to take over.![]()
