Spurs (A) | EFL Cup | Post Match Thread

Thank fcuk that’s over, more injuries really are bare bones now. Hopefully Haaland can stay fit going forward or we are in a spot of bother.

They'll lose to Palace at home in the next round.

Obviously not a priority for us. You could see Pep wasn't even phased. He actually rather enjoyed himself I'd say! Fair play to the young lads though. Onwards we go.

Pep got it wrong tonight playing such a strong XI when we were already in the middle of an injury crisis which has just got significantly bleaker. I literally don’t give a shit about this competition this season, but would really like to have seen a full youth team giving it their all. I don’t understand why he named such a strong starting XI and then didn’t put Haaland on when the game was in the balance?
Tbf putting out a full team of academy lads wouldn't have done then any good against a top half prem team that were close to full strength.

Was definitely impressed with a few of them. Only seen the second half

Wright looked very good and Nunes impressed again.
Gundogan will be back to his best soon

After the 1st 25 minutes debacle, we were decent and even better 2nd half once Foden and Savinho went off. Thought O Reilly and Wright did great and Kovotic and Gvardiol made a huge difference.
Rico at RB is a massive problem plus the experienced CH’s inability to concentrate.

That was a really good effort by the young lads in the 2nd half. Proper proud of that. Nunes particularly gave it his all in the first half which you cannot knock. The defensive system is gonna get punished against pace. Those injuries though, what a fucking nightmare.

Great Effort by the Academy lads and Nunes
None of them looked out of place
The future at City looks good
Look forward to seeing them get more playing time
