Assuming Trump now goes ahead with his promised deportation of unauthorised immigrants, then that will presumably need large use of the military, many of whom will have to be recalled from overseas missions.

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. That should be America's motto from now on.
It already is.

And Poland, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belarus, Russia… it’s growing

Will be our turn next , look at the hatred and rhetoric thrown at Starmer and Labour right from day 1, no one gives a fuck about the economy and any sensible policies they bring in - it’s all soundbites and anti immigration/‘woke’ - Labour will be out no matter how they perform and we’ll go the same way as America. Farage will be warming up. Very very depressing but I have lost all faith.

There are no deployed military personnel remember.

Yes, Poor Keith

He's been upfront and honest since day one.

The sadist in me finds this funny.
If it wasn't for the implications for the Ukraines, i would laugh and enjoy the following shit show.

But their choice and their bed to lie in.

Who knows what Trump will do, but he definitely won't fulfil that promise, simply because it's impossible.

It is beyond belief that this horrible, horrible human being has been voted in again. What hope for America and the rest of us? Best wishes to you and your family mate.
Thanks Sadd.

But I think I’m done here. Footy and music don’t seem that important suddenly. I won’t sleep tonight.

I deleted my Twitter account already and as much as I like it here, and other places, I have more important things to focus on. Like making sure my kid and his partner are okay and safe (rather an activist, that one) and moving some money around as I expect some serious volatility will roil the markets.

I still think it’s a six-standard deviation event that he destroys the nation’s democracy but protection from the possibility is now an important and necessary hedge — especially if the GOP takes the House. My family’s safety and financial well-being is too important.

As I said — before when he had another term to think about and at least some experienced people to rein him in, I knew it would suck, but I didn’t worry. Now? All bets are off. No one competent will work with him and anyone who tries will not control him. I’ve no idea how serious his inflammatory rhetoric is, because he’s a constant liar. I still cannot believe after everything — especially January 6 — this man wins the popular vote. It’s almost not even real.

But what this means for both the next four years and the future — the possibility set is far wider than it was, and includes some awful potential futures.

Best to protect against that chance.

I don't think these German psychologists we praise all the time actually did a thorough job, this election made me question a lot of things, one particular thing being the large number of arabs who either voted for Trump or decided to stay away from the elections all together, I think the belief was that Biden didn't use his power to end the situation in the middle east so some how, Trump would? Yeah that's one for the dead German psychologists to ponder over for the next millennia.

One thing I will say about Trump was his campaign.

It was extortionary and for a man of his age, his stamina was incredible and his ability to judge and know his audience.

Dressing as a garbage collector was genius.
