It’s amazing how we have gone from Treble winners to this in less than 18m. The recruitment has been dreadful from that moment. Selling Alvarez with no replacement lined up was an absolutely criminal decision.
I agree, 2 summer windows where the players who have come in are not players we would expect to be first team starters. Savinho I assumed we would bed in gradually and that may have been beneficial for him. I also understand Savinho played almost entirely on the LW at Girona but Pep is using him on Right because he is better than others on the right. If he plays on left we may see him contributing more, but we are overloaded with LW’s Grealish, Doku and now Nunes.

He’s actually started his City career under Pep better than most do.. I didn’t expect him to play as much and feel his second season will be lethal.. he’s work in progress but I have high hopes.

Arsenal be adding him to the list of players they are happy to let shoot from outside the box.

Look he's only 20 and has been good up to now, that final ball and shooting needs work though. Does brilliantly to get into threatening positions(postioning/dribbling/pace) but being let down by final product.

Comparisons to Mahrez is unfair. When Mahrez joined us he was already 27 years old, with 4 seasons of PL football already under his belt.

Savinho's only 20 years old, having his first season in a new league and is already leading our assists chart. It's perfectly normal for players of his age to have bouts of inconsistencies.

i've been pretty happy with Savinho's season so far. He's shown great skill, a good touch, got a few assists, he could really do with a goal or two more though!! I thought at Sporting he showed good movement and he gave their left back a tough time for 40 mins.

i think he did show a little bit of 1st season naivety at times, and he is no lover of tracking back to win the ball - though you can see sometimes he suddenly remembers he has to do it and starts sprinting back. He's got an element of 'luxury player' at the mo, only a touch, but i think that'll dissipate. I like him, doing well for a 1st season, and not the only player to have a bit of a mare in the 2nd half in Lisbon.

They defended him fairly well and he didn't make the most of the times he did get the better of their defence. A raw talent with a high ceiling but we could do with him getting a goal because he's trying too hard to find one at the moment. Also needs to do a lot more defensively, but that's true of so many right now.

When it come to where he is often attempting to have a shot, it always seems to be from the same position on the pitch trying to do the exact same thing. Repeatedly. It's not working and he was very selfish last night. Doesn't appear to hit the ball very clean and not much power. When he does try to leather it, it's usually wayward. However, he isn't alone in that regard.

Needs to mix his game up, I feel. Young and most certainly will improve.

i think we miss bobb more than anyone thinks, he would've been our main rw. savio would provide a healthy competition and would come out as an impact sub when needed.
hopefully oscar will be fully fit soon.

The question over the summer was whether he'd be here this season or loaned back to Girona, which might well have happened if the rules hadn't been adapted when they qualified for CL.

As it is he seems to be our first choice right winger. That's not on him - it's on the recruitment and Bobb's injury. He'll come good, but is showing he's just a kid at the moment

Just not ready to start for us, should have been used sparingly until up to speed but injuries have forced Peps hand.
Hopefully being thrown in the deep end will help and not hinder his future

Frustrating with his shots that second half and looked like other City players were getting frustrated with him. He started to lose the battle with their full back towards the end of the first half and that gave them a lift. He still showed some real quality though

A really promising player with a sublime touch and pace/tricks, but he had a poor game last night with nothing coming off for him.

He will learn and improve undoubtedly. Looks like he’s desperate to do well but maybe trying too hard as his choice of when to cross or shoot was all over the place last night.

If he can get a goal or two he’ll hopefully relax and gain from the confidence it brings.

Just at the moment both he and Doku are ‘flashes’ players and I’m craving the ball retaining reliability of Jack.

The pressure for goals is making him a bit nervous and he ends up rushing and becoming selfish. It's better not to pressure him and let him play his football and things will come naturally.
