Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Missed chances killing us as opposition know they can come back from 1 down
Kovacic played well but was isolated
Simpson-Pusey huge potential but the 2nd half subs exposed him
Haaland is being impeded in every game but the refs let it go & nobody in our team steps up to bully the opposition back or make a fuss to the ref
No idea what’s up with Foden, but feels like England has poisoned him & palmer moving ahead of him in pecking order & media darling has got in his head
Savinho just needs a goal & then he might chill out & make better final decisions
We’ve always known de bruyne takes ages to get back into the swing of things, it will come
Gundo still at La liga pace
Rodri is the coach on the pitch, cant replace that but we have nobody who can step up and organise & make better decisions - we are naive at the moment
Pep’s future feels like a huge distraction
Get everyone back and then pep may be able to work out the system
Fuck the media, still in a strong position

No team can perform at the levels City have played at with so many injuries, look at the gunners moaning about Odegarde that’s one player. We have never had this horrendous amount of injuries before so let’s give this team some slack or go and support someone else.

Can understand the criticism of Walker but can't work out what position he was supposed to play, right back or centre half? The ease with which Brighton exposed that flank and without us being able to address it. Akanji?
The self proclaimed fastest player in the league didn’t win one foot race

I’d argue that back line we put out today is comfortably better than half of the leagues on paper.
Maybe as individuals, but I think it was too much to have them in completely new formation with at least two playing out of position. It didn’t feel like any one of them had a sense where the other one was.

The problem with saying “injury crisis” is that those players will get injured again.

Grealish injured last season , now this season

Ake , his injuries have become more consistent

Stone can never stay fit for a long time.

Doku had injury issues before joining us.

Rodri really is the only one with a freak injury

Dias has started picking up more and more knocks.

Sorry mate u thought you had a decent reply but you are too bust basking in out past glories to see the issues going forward. Don't talk to me again prick
Who do man Yoo play tomorrow mush?
This is when our team need us yet we get dickheads like this, fucking fanny

Like the Trump result, difficult to know what to think let alone say. Pep clearly at a loss too - four defeats in a row that would have been four big win a few months ago. Chances not taken, midfield outfought, basic defensive mistakes.... all boils down to the Rodri injury wrecking our regular gameplan. Everybody could see what would happen without quality CDM cover.

Fuck what did you just say?
He is the right man to fix this, so get behind the team.
But he needs to commit to more than 12 months. If he can't even make up his mind to do that, then we need to get someone for the longer term. Barca and Bayern survived his exit and so will we.

Our defence is as strong as 1 ply bog roll from a pound shop. At 1-0 we stopped playing but still stayed high up the pitch . Without Alvarez chasing down every defender they were through us in 4 easy passes. Our midfield is as quick as sludge and then they can dance into our defence at their leisure. Pusey and Eddie did well to limit the damage but at 1-1 it was inevitable we are losing that match.
Rodri must be counting his blessing he's not having to prop up this shitshow.

I was called this that, and the other when I was criticizing us despite us winning earlier in the season, and, well, the chickens have come home to roost. I said giving Walker a three-year extension, despite Pep benching him in the CL final, was utterly ridiculous, and I have been proven right, for over two years now, at that.

The harsh truth is that Pep is more concerned about his net spend and how it looks upon his legacy than the quality of our current squad. I know that will be controversial, but surely this won’t: he’ll leave the club in far worse shape for the next manager than he found it. I refuse to believe he could watch Cole Palmer in our matches/training, day in and day out, and say,’ yeah, he CAN’T go on loan. He either stays or is sold.’ while having the CLUB’s interest at heart.

As I said before, a downturn was expected, but the squad planning has been awful, and if it solely has to do with the charges against us, then fair enough.

We’ve got a fight on our hands for the top four now.
What an absolute load of shite. Give your fucking head a wobble.

We're going though an extremely rough patch with players out of form and injuries and Pep has more than enough credit to sort it out and with his history with us I'm confident he will.

As for the comment about thinking about his self interests rather than the team is fucking laughable.

You've got form for being a fanny wipe so if you can't get behind them team then kindly fuck off
