I can’t help but feel the one year raises more questions than answers.Hope we get some clarity on the situation over the international break. Ideally a long extension coupled with a hefty transfer budget to rebuild the squad.

Knowing pep as we have come to, I can see this poor run lighting a fire and him committing to more than he would have done previously in terms of timescale. He’s not going to walk away while we’re struggling. He’s emotionally invested like we are.

That would seem to be wishful thinking unfortunately. If Pep was up for a long extension I doubt we'd be in this situation of not knowing what his plans are so close to his current deal expiring.Hope we get some clarity on the situation over the international break. I believe we had some sort of commitment before he came.To do this the club need a commitment. Extending his time with City would be a lift for everyone. An additional year would help at a time when we are already losing our Director of Football and a key allie of Peps. The club might already have a different idea on what the future looks like. Interesting times...

I think what is happening they are trying to get someone else in before Pep says he’s off at the end of the season and we will have a new manager for the CWC
He could well be in the mix, but 3 games a week, and dealing with elite ego's is a different ball game.We could do worse than going for Bournemouth manager

My problem with the CWC if Pep doesn’t extend but takes us to the CWC if only gives the new manager a couple of weeks before the new seasonI am starting to think the same, the CWC is a problem, next season the players will be even more fatigued and Pep himself will get little or no time away from the game which he desperately needs.

If he only signs one more year be another season where the players are knackered unless we sign 4/5 top quality players in the summer
