So he's either leaving or signing a 2/3 year extension. Got it.Rag Lee reckons the one year is the most likely outcome now
I can’t help but feel the one year raises more questions than answers.Hope we get some clarity on the situation over the international break. Ideally a long extension coupled with a hefty transfer budget to rebuild the squad.
That would seem to be wishful thinking unfortunately. If Pep was up for a long extension I doubt we'd be in this situation of not knowing what his plans are so close to his current deal expiring.Hope we get some clarity on the situation over the international break. Ideally a long extension coupled with a hefty transfer budget to rebuild the squad.
Totally agree. We need at least a two year commitment imo. One year is just kicking the can down the road and fuels the uncertainty.Hope we get some clarity on the situation over the international break. Ideally a long extension coupled with a hefty transfer budget to rebuild the squad.
I believe we had some sort of commitment before he came.To do this the club need a commitment. Extending his time with City would be a lift for everyone. An additional year would help at a time when we are already losing our Director of Football and a key allie of Peps. The club might already have a different idea on what the future looks like. Interesting times...
Feels like the likely outcome is the one year as much as I agree.Totally agree. We need at least a two year commitment imo. One year is just kicking the can down the road and fuels the uncertainty.
In a perverse way this present run and our obvious weakness will rejuvenate him even more.Hope we get some clarity on the situation over the international break. Ideally a long extension coupled with a hefty transfer budget to rebuild the squad.
But what or more specifically who is the alternative? One year extension and we are back in the same situation as we are now
Kompany Bayern esque appointment. But what or more specifically who is the alternative?
So even one more year of Pep is essential.Kompany Bayern esque appointment.
Managerial market is shite, we’ll be saying the same thing when Pep does eventually leave.
We could do worse than going for Bournemouth managerBut what or more specifically who is the alternative?
Anyone on the planet is a downgrade we know that. Ideally just a new 2/3 year contract be part of the rebuild and we go again. But what or more specifically who is the alternative?
He could well be in the mix, but 3 games a week, and dealing with elite ego's is a different ball game.We could do worse than going for Bournemouth manager
I am starting to think the same, the CWC is a problem, next season the players will be even more fatigued and Pep himself will get little or no time away from the game which he desperately needs.Anyone on the planet is a downgrade we know that. I think what is happening they are trying to get someone else in before Pep says he’s off at the end of the season and we will have a new manager for the CWC
My problem with the CWC if Pep doesn’t extend but takes us to the CWC if only gives the new manager a couple of weeks before the new seasonI am starting to think the same, the CWC is a problem, next season the players will be even more fatigued and Pep himself will get little or no time away from the game which he desperately needs.
