Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

How long to make a statue?

Decent, accurate, quality one, by a true artisan? 12 months?

The first official news of the Silva and Kompany statues being comissuined was 10th September 2019, they were unveiled 28th August 2021.

Aguero was a similar timeframe but a year or so later. So let's call it 2 years. 14 months of production in his studio, according to the sculptor himself. Just the actual work, not the logistics before and after.

Bear in mind the news has to formally break too, which may be some time away.

Pep may even win the world bup with Brazil/England by the time his statue is up.

I really, really hope Pep signs an extension because apart from everything he’s done for us there’s no good options available next summer. Alonso is likely off to Real, Nagelsmann won’t leave until after the next World Cup, Kompany has just joined Bayern, PSG won’t let Enrique easily. Can’t think of any other high calibre coaches who could step in.

Of course it could be any scenario. We’re all speculating.
Pep has made his decision.

He understands that a definitive decision re 115 could be very soon or take years of appeals.

He doesn't need to wait for 115.

He'll leave when he's good,ready or pushed.

IMO it'll be at the end of 25/26, when Alonso arrives to begin a new chapter.

Adios y hasta luego, Bon chance compadres.

I believe the deal breaker is where the away fans end up ;)
