Don't forget, if you write "black" instead of "Black" you're a Nazi racist bigot.
Don't forget, if you write "White" instead of "white" you're a Nazi racist bigot.

And don't ever forget, if you write "Kiev" instead of, well, whatever, you're a Russian asset.
Yes, yes, we get it . . . . you lot are so put upon.

Bought and paid for!

How many times over we'll discover as the stench of corruption slowly drips from the festering arsehole of the Trumpist cult.

This is why we have confirmation hearings before the Senate. I look forward to Democratic Senators getting to the bottom of this. I'd love to hear what Pam Bondi says.

We already know that Dems are freaking the fuck out about this nomination, and it isn't because of the bribery allegations, is it? Don't lie.

Frankly, this nomination disappoints me. I was promised misogyny. What happened?

It's because she's a vengeful, paranoid and mendacious grifter who has promised to persue public servants, despite zero evidence.

What can I tell you? Elections have consequences. You do understand that your characterization and hyperbole aren't facts, right?

Recess appointments are still not entirely off the table. In that case, an confirmation hearing could be swerved.

In fairness, the people we are mentioning are all at the fore of American politics. Part of the reason why we know them is because they are.

I can't speak to how well local politicians may do outside of the local politician my City/ State

The rest of your questions are a little more complicated for me to answer, since I'm not as well versed in the system ran over on your side.

I'll differ to the guys who are knowledgeable about both systems.

But as a general rule, the Federal Government is supposed to have limited powers. I.e powers enumerated in the Constitution. And everything else, in theory , should be left to the Individual States.

However, over time the, the Federal Government has amassed more power and reach. So it's a bit murky.

In its simplest form, representation comes in the form of the Membership from each State to the Senate and from each district to Congress. And those 2 bodies primarily make laws. The President ( voted by the public ) then simply is charged with the execution of those Laws in addition to specific powers reserved to the President.

Can't tell you if it's better or worse than what you have
That’s actual informative, thanks.
I obviously know what the states are. Can I ask what constitutes a district. Is it internal to a state or does it comprise more than one state?

Agreed. However, let's assume Bondi has a water-tight explanation. Let's further assume that the Democrat pundits who are admitting she is "dangerous and effective" are right. Republicans will be salivating at the prospect of a confirmation hearing broadcast worldwide.

I'm happy to let this play out.

Yes, lots of districts per state, 435 in total who vote, plus 6 non-voting reps from DC, Puerto Rico, etc. I don't think they cross state lines, as it's the state who draws the maps.

Many of them gerrymandered into tortuous shapes - here's one in Maryland a few years ago:

I've heard it said that the general intention of gerrymandering is to give your side a number where you have maybe 60-65% chance and the other side a smaller number where they have 85-90% chance - don't know if it's true, and I assume it varies by state.

DEMS: "When Kamala wins, we hold the Senate and take the House, we can pack the Supreme Court with liberals in their 30s! Fuck yeah!"

REPS: "Wait, what, we won? Hey lets pack the Supreme Court with conservatives in their 30s!"

DEMS: NOOOOOOO not like that! That's not fair!"

lol

Each State is broken down into Congressional districts based loosely on the census and how many Congress reps Each State should have as a function of their percentage of the overall population. Each district gets a Congressperson. The actual districts in each State are often a function of political machinations within each State. So they often don't make sense. But there's always some Internal reason why it gets carved the way it is.

No one's packing the court with anyone unless there's a death. Thomas and Alito -- the two absolute whackadoos -- are the oldest. No matter who replaces them they can't be rock-dumber or more ethically-compromised in one case nor more cravenly partisan in the other. I mean it when I say nearly anyone is an upgrade, kind of like how the shit-law-school party-switching social-climber AG nominee is a relief compared to the kiddie-fiddler. All liberal justices will hang on under any circumstance save health.

PMSL. When the fuck did facts matter to you and your dear leader?

Much as you may want to spin it, mango-arse is a convicted felon because he broke the law and there was clear evidence that a (vetted) Jury convicted him on.

"Elections have consequences" ....fuckin' hell!

I'm lost for words lest I provoke Godwins Law, so kindly don't reply.

DEMS: "The border is secure. There is no crisis at the border. It's all in your head."

ALSO DEMS: "Trump tanked our border bill to stop the crisis at the border, blame him!"

ELECTORATE: "Wait, what did you just say?"

lol

Also Username Required: "LOL Dems; you lost, you stupid hypocrites -- how d'ya like it, bitches?"

Still a bit confused -- I want to know who called you a Nazi racist bigot for not capitalizing the word "Black" so I can have a word -- LMK, TY.

I didn't vote for Trump in 2016, 2020, or 2024. I'm not spinning anything mate. You are, bigly.

Yeah, "elections have consequences." Barrack Obama.
