What are you question marking?

I've just told you the goal stemmed from gvardiols piss weak defending so he was clearly at fault. Gundogan didn't give any one a shout about the runner which was his man from midfield so how is stones supposed to know he's there?
The goal wouldn't have happened in the first place if gvardiol had challenged for the ball or at least tried stopping the cross.

Cant blame it on stones and ederson for having split second chances to stop it when the other two just gave up their jobs.

he was one of very few players that delivered this season but last 2/3 games (stupid pen given away vs Sporting, now this game...), his form is about getting to same level to others, poor.

No and it wasn’t on Stones either. Gundo pointed to Maddison after he’d just ran at a fairly mundane pace past him. Stones was in a good position and had no time to react. Worrying when someone as one paced as Maddison can run off our midfield so easily. Brilliant ball as well to be fair

It's shit all around on our back line currently.

People like to discredit Dias, and he's far from perfect, but I swear our defense turns to absolute shite without him.

gvardiol with his 8 key passes created the most chances today, could’ve had multiple assists. but he’s shit. ok.

i don’t see such outrage when other players score own goals and so on btw. and he’s not criticized? when will the favorite show up? hush we don’t speak about that no no no.

So when do you take over from Pep?
 
He's generally performing well, was our biggest threat going forward down the left but seeing too many brain farts creep in and he's currently being punished for them regularly.

Probably has too big of a role right now because hes playing like a winger but hes got zero cover when he does.

Perhaps time to simplify his game for a bit and sharpen up defensively, he shouldnt be our second biggest goal threat amyway. he's so far away from being a problem despite a game to forget.

He may not be the best skill wise but he’s definitely the best leader. And I think he’s really good about helping the defense move on after a mistake. If he’s on today, I don’t think we have the cascade of mistakes after the first goal because he gets everyone to refocus. Two young players and Kyle (god bless him) isn’t enough mental strength in the back line to stop the breakdown.

Don't take things personally

He has probably been our best player this season but the last few games has not been at his best.
Passing, shooting, tackling not good today

Unfortunately his team mates are not taking up the slack when he is not at his best. Foden, Walker, Gundogan, Lewis not up to scratch today.
Gvardiol is a creative player, good in the air and creative. Stuck out at left back and chasing wingers is not his strong point. The sooner he starts playing in the centre back re the better.
 
Without solid players around him his lack of agility and ability to be a left back or central defender have been cruelly exploited.
He leaves acres of space out wide then is too easily beaten when he goes into close down.
