Yes and to a lesser extent Ake, and with Dias having his own injury issues now we need one maybe two CB's.Insanity if relying on his fitness.
He just cannot stay fit.
It’s not his first startFirst poor game and he gets dropped, and is this really the game to give Ortega his first start ? hope it's not a case of throwing him to the wolves.
Gvardiol was very good up until the point Aké went off on Tuesday. After that the whole defence went to pot.One of Walker or Gvardiol starts. Who did we want?
Both are wank at the moment.
To be fair his mistake for the 3rd on Tuesday will have pissed Pep off in a big way, if you come out like that you have to get their, that said there are plenty of others who could be fairly dropped.First poor game and he gets dropped, and is this really the game to give Ortega his first start ? hope it's not a case of throwing him to the wolves.
Don’t need to be a doctor, just look at his injuries and missed gamesThank you doctor .
No complaints about Ortega. I am not going to sit here and say we definitely can't win, but regardless of the result this is certainly going to be a tough game. There will be a lot of saves to be made. I have no issues with Pep picking the guy who is more likely to produce a heroic 10-save performance and get us a result.
Maybe but, it's a 90+ mins game and he was terrible against Spurs as well (not on his own)Gvardiol was very good up until the point Aké went off on Tuesday. After that the whole defence went to pot.
I think it's a bit deeper than that. Even at his best Ederson represents risk and complexity. Ortega represents simplicity and sturdiness. He is a good choice for a game where we genuinely have good reason to think that we may face more shots than we ever have in a Pep game before. We've been a fucking mess lately and we're away to the world's most in-form team.First poor game and he gets dropped, and is this really the game to give Ortega his first start ? hope it's not a case of throwing him to the wolves.
Weird, I thought he'd start for sure.Whats going on with KDB?, on the bench AGAIN today surely we need him in matches like today's.
Yeah well Pep's insane high line that isn't working forces him to play the sweeper role and sometimes he gets it wrong, if he doesn't come out they have acres of space and would've probably scored anyway, Pep should be pissed at himself too because there was no reason to be so high at that point in the game.To be fair his mistake for the 3rd on Tuesday will have pissed Pep off in a big way, if you come out like that you have to get their, that said there are plenty of others who could be fairly dropped.
