Probably because they weren't/aren’t fit enough. KDB plan was possibly to give him a few minutes whereas - as we were 3-0 up, Dias wasn’t in Pep’s thoughts ???

Dias was the only one on my thoughts.
Every match in the last month we have caved in in the last 15 to 20 mins.
Dias would stabilise a defence and not go tearing up the pitch like a sex starved whippet

I think this is going to be a rough one.

It might even be the toughest result since Pep got here. It might be something akin to the 7-0 United suffered a few years ago, or maybe the 5-0 we handed out to Liverpool, or the 6-0 we handed to Chelsea or the 5-0 we handed to Arsenal. I have to say that I really don't think it will be that bad - but I still think this will be a tough watch, because most of our key guys are either out injured or not fit enough to start. We won four in a row. An off year is inevitable.

If I'm wrong I will obviously be delighted, but if I'm right, I really hope we can agree to just take it on the chin. Either way, we've had a better decade than any other football club in the word except arguably Real Madrid. Whatever this rought spell is, we're going to work it out. Have a good Sunday night, all - and I'll see you on the other side.

Our main hope is they are a bit flat after beating Madrid, otherwise it could be a long evening.

Agree with the defenders but I’d have played Gvardiol instead of Lewis - playing in the Rodri role He’s a good defender when he has a mature back line playing with him; he can play in the Rodri role AND he gets goals.
The only reason he has made mistakes is because, at 24, he was exposed when Ake was taken off which left him playing with young inexperienced Lewis & a young kid as fellow defenders

I think he would have shone today with that back 4 behind him.

And they are only reasons he made TWO mistakes leading to goals? Nothing to do with his own concentration levels?

KDB is done at the very top level...

He may have a season or two in him playing parts of the season - but that only works if we have a top class replacement (Wirtz or the like) - none of our present squad can replace what he did bring once....

If we dont replace KDB, Walker, Grealish, Gundo this summer next season will be just like this one. We need a DM to play as well to cover for Rodri - HUGE summer needed

I thought his interview before the Feyenoord game he had a very arsey attitude.

I wish Nunes got more midfield time.

I can see Pep doing that and can see it being a horrific idea, but he definitely has some faith in the midfields he is picking despite evidence to the contrary

None of them have turned up for weeks

Foden was the POTY of the year last year and hasn’t scored this season. He’s been well below the standards we expect as have Gundo , Bernardo etc.

Picking Ortega as well could indicate Pep knows they are going to have a lot of one on ones - Ortega is the better of the two keepers in this sense and though Eddie had a shocker last week he has also saved us quite a bit this season

Ortegas distribution is no where near as good as Edersons so that is going to be interesting to see...worse when pressed with the ball at his feet as well

He’s not fit. If he was fit Kev would be the first player in this team.

Not sure that is the case anymore, I think the Pep / KDB relationship is done, but hope I am wrong.
