Feels like we are letting Liverpool off the hook with our wide men being on the bench, Robertson has been bobbins all season.

Looks like we will be trying to play through the middle of them, Unless Pep has an idea of keeping it tight up until a certain stage of the game and then introducing the big guns.

Just had a nosey on lpool forums. Alot are rooting for a draw. A few of them not so confident on hammering us

The whole team needs to turn up

Lewis, Gundo have been absolutely shocking in recent weeks and if it wasnt for injuries shouldnt be anywhere near that pitch - walker as well

How is it Foden that needs to turn up?

None of them have turned up for weeks
We have been a total shit show from the manager all the way down to the players from the first loss against spurs in the cup.

We aren't creating enough real big chances and when we do we find the keeper with ease or give him a back pass virtually.

And our Kamikaze defending is something you see on a park pitch every weekend.

We used to be able to carry the odd couple of underperforming players through games, But when 6 or 7 are off it every week we it's impossible.

The drop off in quality this season is off the scale.

You can point to age in some players but Foden won the player of the year last season and now looks like a bottom 6 team player. And he's got age on his side.

Not singling out Phil, but the whole squad needs a big kick up the arse!!

Because we’ve got a team of players who aren’t exactly known for their creative/goalscoring prowess. Foden the best player in the league last season has to better and we need his attacking contribution for us to win the game. He is vital
Gundo made his career at city by ghosting into the box and scoring......

Foden aint playing well but he aint the issue....Gundo and Lewis as a pair are a huge problem...

You cant just look at foden and say he needs to turn up...

I’d have concerns with any team featuring Walker at the moment. Any time he plays it feels that we’re giving the opposition a goal start. He was never a smart footballer- his positional sense and anticipation were never top class however he had incredible pace to dig himself out of any hole. He no longer has that pace his flaws are glaring.

Not exactly excited by out midfield, will depend on how we set up but Gundogan, Lewis, Nunes and Bernardo offer very little goal threat or creativity. Huge pressure on Haaland to take any chances that come his way. We really need to see some of Foden’s best form today. Hopefully playing Liverpool brings the best out of Bernardo and Foden.

Hate to say it but I feel exactly the same.
Rico has shown more balls during these games than some of the older players never hides and battles like fuck ( just out muscled sometimes ) . and at this moment in time is a better defender than kyle who wont adjust his game because of his arrogance , to allow for his loss of a couple of yards of pace . take the other night, Game management was awful and that is on the experienced players to sort that out and steady the ship

It's not very often that I find myself baffled by a Pep lineup as I am right now. On most fan sites the predicted lineups all had Kev and Jack in and no sign of Lewis and Walker.

Lewis has offered nothing creatively in the last 6 games and is presumably picked for "having legs in midfield" yet during this poor run he has not tracked many runners and I fear he will not be able to keep a grip of the Liverpool counters. He clearly can do no wrong in the managers eyes.

Walker has been awful yet Pep has dropped a young lad who has made a few mistakes and picked our captain who very rarely owns a shit performance, rather blames others. Jack would have been in for me as he adds control and has the sort of shithousery that frustrates a home team and crowd. Kev must be done as others have said - this was a game made for him and given how reluctant we are at making subs it's going to be a long afternoon. It wasn't on him that the last game fell apart - that was on defenders not doing any sort of job.

All that being said watch us go and get a result and I like a few others will be left retracting any concerns. To do that we need Bernie (who has been abject on this run) and Phil to play much better and be back to something close to normal...

I hope to God I am wrong and will be a happy bunny this evening. I would love to post an apology to our genius of a manager at tea time!
