Mutants that live in a sewer? Sounds familiar. On a positive pep tells everyone that scousers have 6 fingers & Ortega says it’s not the best part of the U.K.
Like it :-)
Thanks M/S Finest. You've saved me having to write all that !!!!There are way too many people without any elite level footballing knowledge making way too many judgements on our team.
The reason we are in a slump is NOT because players are past it, NOT because Pep has lost it, NOT because Txiki and Ferran are incompetent. It is simply because a whole bunch of injuries to key players have coincided with other key players being exhausted from the sheer amount of games played as a result of success.
Sometimes the stars align, you ride the crest of a wave, you get the rub of the green, you don't lose key players and with hard work and determination, you win trophies. And every fan laps it up.
Other times (like now), everything seems to go wrong, players are injured, players are tired, players come back from injury and get injured again, refereeing decisions go against you, deflections end up with the opposing striker. Then most fans just want to blame someone, anyone.
Yes, we maybe should have acted better in planning for aging players drop off, yes some players should be taking more responsibility, yes Pep has made some mistakes. But, if all that had happened and we'd still managed to get lucky results, none of these witch-hunting behaviours would be evident from fans.
Things aren't ideal now, but despite what the red media (led by sky and their two ex red arse wipes) may say, we are not finished, there aren't changing room issues and we will be back.
Many on here need some perspective, a team doesn't go from being the best team in the world to relegation fodder in the space of 6 games.
I like Doku. A bit frustrating at times, but really unsettles the opposition defenders as well.Listening to Peps press conference after the game he hinted that we start now, I wonder if he felt yesterday lose the battle win the war, we never win there and with the squad as it is maybe best to introduce those subs coming back from injury get them minutes for Forest. If you look at who came on if all those could start Wednesday it would be a damn sight better than previous. Also he talked of Grealish in the middle as he did in the last 15 mins, I think going forward he may well be there with Doku on the left.

Dont bother with that wum , dipper i think@thismeansfour
Have you calmed down yet? Have you seen the bigger picture yet?
Do you realise that this team has come to the end of it's cycle? Do you realise that this team has give it's last breath to please hysterical and knee jerk fans like you only for you to throw it back in their faces by being entitled and slagging them off! The bigger picture, do you get it?
This team have so much credit in the bank for what they have give us that they are allowed a year off when it doesn't happen on the pitch and they look off it, we should be getting behind them.
Thank God you didn't support us when we was really shit, you wouldn't have been able to handle it if your toys are out the pram for the team that has won 4 in a row.
Can't wait to see what you come back with.
He’s an exciting player no doubt, Savinho too, they can get you off your seat in anticipation, but there’s very rarely any end product, a decent cross that finds an attacker, or a goal. They’re both young, so hopefully both will improve.I like Doku. A bit frustrating at times, but really unsettles the opposition defenders at times.
Yeah, it's not losing to Liverpool yesterday that's the big issue for me. It's the run of poor results that preceded it. We were second best in the yesterday but I also thought there were grounds for optimism. After they came out of the traps flying and going 1 up, we started to see more of the ball and showed a fair bit of composure. The issue as the first half wore on seemed to be more a lack of confidence when attacking rather than when defending. Second half Liverpool got a bit of control back and fair enough, missed a few chances to go further ahead but as things wore on I could see us getting something, especially when Doku came on. Sadly it didn't happen but I think we'll see an upturn in results from now on. I'm not saying we're going on a 10 match winning run or anything but I think our form will improve considerably.Listening to Peps press conference after the game he hinted that we start now, I wonder if he felt yesterday lose the battle win the war, we never win there and with the squad as it is maybe best to introduce those subs coming back from injury get them minutes for Forest. Turned Arnold inside out, so much he had to be subbedAfter Liverpool scored yesterday, I thought we got back into the game, Doku looked lively and although no end product certainly had Liverpool rattled.
I think that’s the best we have played for a while and don’t think long term Liverpool will stay that far ahead.
We make mistakes in games and get punished, unfortunately we don’t punish teams when they slip up like KDB yesterday.
I think over than Ortega, Lewis & Silva, the rest of the team have just come back from injury or carrying knocks.
Onwards and upwards, we can improve & will
Doku has to play if fit. Whilst raw he offers something that nobody else does.Listening to Peps press conference after the game he hinted that we start now, I wonder if he felt yesterday lose the battle win the war, we never win there and with the squad as it is maybe best to introduce those subs coming back from injury get them minutes for Forest. Mid-table? we only just squeezed past Wolves and Saints (who are in the bottom 3) .... I'm dreading the Cup draw later, as Halifax/Shrewsbury are forever engrained...and yet we look like we are mid table fodder !
After all one of City’s infamous records was getting relegated the very next season after winning the league 1937/8.
Maybe that’s when when ‘typical City’ was first uttered!!
Plenty on here been urging Pep to play Grealish in the middle for a couple of seasons. If Pep has only just caught on to this idea of trying this it smacks of desperation.Listening to Peps press conference after the game he hinted that we start now, I wonder if he felt yesterday lose the battle win the war, we never win there and with the squad as it is maybe best to introduce those subs coming back from injury get them minutes for Forest. One of our better players yesterday, put in a real shift.Rico's was one of the better performances, however sadly one moment involving him summed up ... how do I put this ... 'a lack of conviction' in challenges. So we are boxed in our final third and trying to alleviate the pressure on the defence, Bernie plays a ball down the line to Rico....

From there, Rico looks nailed on to win that ball, but for some reason he did this ...

just jumped in the air, gave the ball to Robertson who set up yet another chance. This was in that first 15 when we were getting pulverized. He wasn't the only one, it's just the first example that I grabbed. When you go there you have go to win 40/60s never mind 50/50s to stand a chance. That section of the dips were on their feet after that and pressure ramped up again...
Hopefully. I see Doku a little bit ahead of Savinho, who does well on the ball but not much else atm. He’s an exciting player no doubt, Savinho too, they can get you off your seat in anticipation, but there’s very rarely any end product, a decent cross that finds an attacker, or a goal.
