Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

A guy phoned up Talkshite today, and it's £400 for him, the missus and 4 years old daughter to go to Fulham v Arsenal in the new stand. £160 for adult tickets, £80 for child.

In my head I swore then....not the f word but I swore. £90 for a child.... what about if you are taking more than one child? When I went to matches when my kids were kids I had 4 of them to pay for!!

Unbelievable really - what the hell are clubs trying to do regarding their fans ?

Nobody could afford that every week surely? Clubs are relying on day trippers who might visit the stadium once maybe twice a year, they don't care about the fans who want to go every week.

£90 for kids. The games gone

What kid can afford £90 out of their pocket money to go to a game??? I've no idea how much pocket money they get these days but I'm sure it's nowhere near £90.
I know it was bloody years ago but around 1968/70 I paid 2/6d to get in the scoreboard as a kid. If I wanted to transfer to the Kippax it was another 6d. We used to get there just as the gates opened, pay 2/6d, jump over the wall then climb onto the concourse, leg it and jump into the Kippax, saving the 6d. I'm trying to remember what my spends were back then. Five bob I think.

This is what our owner doesn't realise.
My lads are Blues because I could afford to take them to Maine Road.
Even Alan Fuckin' Ball couldn't dampen their enthusiasm.
What chance does a Dad have these days ?
If I was a rag, non season ticket holder I'd be paying £198 just for 1x adult and 2 kids tickets.
City at present is cheaper but won't be for long.

It needs stopping but it won't be.

Paper rounds used to fund my away trips as a teenager (mid to late 70's), morning, evening & Sundays along with the Ashton Reporter on Thursday's when on school holidays.

I'd be doing fucking months these days if paper boys still existed to watch Leicester at home.

The bubble is about to burst, all clubs are going to be in for a shock but, by then all the fuckers exploiting fans will have moved on.

I used to do a bit of caddying at Didsbury golf course and occasionally Mere.

About time our properfans made a stand about prices and tourists.
I don't know how .
But we need to do something.
Before it's too late.
If it's not already.
Enough is enough.
Real fans first tourists second.

Nobody gives a fuck anymore.
I had paid 300 euro for flights for the 13th of December for the rags game then they changed the day.
300 euro down the drain ....who gives a fuck
To be fair, that's not the club's fault.
That game was always likely to move to the Sunday so surely you wait for the tv fixtures to be announced.

It is very annoying because people, rightly, like to plan ahead and get the best prices in advance. But City do say in their ticket announcement emails not to book travel until the fixture date has been confirmed.

Year after year they've pushed the boundaries until eventually they eat themselves.

It will all end in tears.
I am sure that if they could get away with it, they would play 2 games in the USA, 2 in China and 2 in India.

The prices have just gone crazy.

£51 for Forest at home on a Wed night for a game that is live on Amazon Prime which most people have. 2000 plus tickets for sale. No wonder

Tout sites have them for Forest tomorrow at £26 inc. fees at the moment

So should the club really. If a season ticket holder can’t go then they should be able to donate it for free to a city charity for people who can’t afford football. I’d happily donate mine when I can’t go to something like that. Tickets that fans had sold for Spurs were being sold for £77.

Lads and lasses it’s gone .. football has eaten itself I earn a quite good income along with Mrs snake , I lost my season card through illness I would like it back along my daughter but it’s not happening , the club are not interested. It’s soul destroying now I’m back in work etc.. my youngest wants to go so much but match day prices are not sustainable. The last decade or so has been brilliant but.. I feel city has lost its soul what we had and was lauded for.
