FA Cup R3 | Salford City (H) | Sat 11 Jan 1745

Quite a few City fans from Prestwich go to watch Salford City.Loads went a bit ago when they played Burnley in a cup game
My mate takes his grandson as can't afford tickets at the Etihad plus he home in minutes after the final whistle .Quite a few go to Radcliffe Boro as well.Meant to add Loads of the kids got autographs and photos with Vincent Company .Just a shame City price these people out
Should be priced decent for this game if they have any sense. Salford look like they charge £19 or £22 maximum for their home games. Even as a revenue earner the clubs need to agree a price that suits the fans after Christmas time.

For Salford people this is a big game. There will be loads of salfordians attending who have never been to Moor Lane...no different that other minnows.

But its not United ?
Salford City has got nothing to do with United or its fans
If Salford City sell tickets to United fans 100% they will sing United songs about City and LIverpool and Leeds

What is the point of any real Salford City fans turning up ?
I’ve seen your reply here bud, but haven’t got much to add, as I think we are talking at cross purposes.

When did you first start watching them ?
I became a hardcore fan (home and away every game) in November 2007 when we were in the North West Counties League (level 11 of the football pyramid) having moved to Salford a few years earlier. I had actually been at the ground a handful of times during the late 80's / early 90's when I lived in Chorlton and also went to see the club play at Old Trafford in 1971 in a Lancashire Amateur FA Cup final against Aintree Villa when they were known as Salford Amateurs. I went as a neutral but naturally enough cheered for Salford not knowing then that 36 years later I'd amass hundreds of games watching them and not missing any games for countless years.

I was asking because i used to play for them, 85, 86

The level of panicking on here is ridiculous. Did I miss all the large-scale mayhem at all the derby games we’ve had in the last few years including Wembley?

We missed a home tie with millwall by one ball, now that would have been a different story
Did you not see ancoats' concerns?

they would want to sing their United songs at us
Do you not know how petrifying a nursey rhyme being chanted by a few middle aged men is?

Not just that, chanted "at us". Smitten by song.

It's not like a derby game though is it. Much easier for people to fly under the radar. There will be a significant number on banning orders for united who will see this as a chance for a big day out. I'm not sure it'll be carnage as some are saying but there's a big chance of disorder

After being in battles over the years from being in the wrong place/unlucky & watched to name a few live, spuds in the cup, Notts Co, Oldham etc stuff can soon get out of hand.

Our 5 stone wet through stewards are not the plod look at their effectiveness against the Dutch.

It could easily escalate. A lot of our support especially in this game will be families.

And it's LIVE!!!!!
