I only tend to watch Lancs but there's lots with better averages. Jennings is a far better player than Crawley for a start.

We won't get away with having a mug like him opening in the next ashes.

I’m sure he’s open to any Avenue that increases his wage. He’d be a little unproven though. Jennings has done more to show he’s ready again.

Salt fits the current MO better though.

As an aside I watched Chilton on Lancs TV the other day. Phillips the WI quick who did well in his 3 games has been signed for the majority of next season, and they are in talks with a middle order batsman as the second overseas player.

Mentioned the new signing form Durham will likely open with Wells dropping down the order.

Looks like we could be a good 50 runs short. A great fightback from 43/4 but disappointing to only score 280 after we were 217/4 at one stage.

Jennings is very solid. Takes his time to start with which is ideal in tests.
