So Khawaja and Labuschagne batted for 239 balls, 40 full overs, and got 56 runs.
Not sure how that's helped Australia win this match at all.
Really bizarre. They're 119-3 off 52 overs. We were about 270-9 off the same! Somewhere in the middle is the right approach!
Fine to soak up a dangerous bowling spell but you have to try and score or the pressure builds and wickets are inevitable. The only hope would be that we tire and the older ball is easier to put away for their middle and lower order. But we're bowling well and the seamers don't look fatigued yet, they've still not had to bowl that many balls and it's not intense heat.
