I agree to a certain extent, but the mistakes he's making can't be put down to age. He doesn't look like he's even trying half the time.

Pathetic from the captain today. Being the man who wasn’t in the defensive line, especially as the fullback with a view across the pitch is very, very poor. Not jumping with his man on the corner and giving him a free header is absolutely unacceptable.

He adds nothing to this team and slows us down every single time he receives the ball by turning inside or dummying and delaying his pass.

I’m so fucking angry at his attitude it’s unbelievable. He’s been a part of some great teams in his time here but there are too many things going on at the moment for him to be a problem. His years of experience and position within the squad should mean he’s a leader and someone to look to for the others. He fucking isn’t.

If he had any sort of honour about him he would offer to resign being captain and try to work to get back some form. Sadly he is way too arrogant for that. Getting to the stage where fans are going to really dislike him. Conservatively at fault for about 60 - 70% of the goals we conceded this year so far, which is ridiculous.
