Qualification for 12 European clubs based on performance in the Champions League in the 4 year period from 20/21 to 23/24.

Chelsea, Real Madrid and City took 3 places because they won the Champions League. Remaining 9 places based on UEFA coefficent points earned (a reflection of performance) in the 4 year period.

However, only 2 clubs allowed from each country, so it went down to Salzburg in 18th place in the coefficient ranking table. Highest ranking to miss out on the 2 club from a country rule were Liverpool in 6th and Barcelona in 11th

Also if liverpool win I will put this down as similar to Pellers first season where he basically won with Mancinis squad free of the discontent then proved he was a decent not great manager, Slot is presently enjoying the same alongside any real threat to liverpool (us) being in a rut of sorts., If we can turn back on our usual form and tgey actually have pressure on them then we will know how good a manager he is. I shudder at the thought of the state we might be in come June. Not one that is fit for this competition. A completion which is not only likely to prove a bridge to far for this season but which will by necessity undermine our attempts to prepare for next.
